Yes, I did ride Cap2Cap and actually live very close to the route - my neck of the woods is halfway between Richmond and Williamsburg! We always start C2C at the Dorey Park end, though, so we get stuck with doing the hills at the end. DH and I often lead rides from there for the local club since it's about 20 miles from home. Are you thinking about riding C2C next year? If so, we must hook up - let me know!
This year I rode 5 centuries. I used to do more (equivalent of 9-10), including doubles, but don't have the time anymore and have "been there, done that"! I still enjoy distance, though. You must ride in the mountains a lot - I'm envious! That is something I really need to work on and do more. Do you ride with a local bike club?
Have a good weekend!

) & a nice ride for early in the season.
. I do ride with a cycling group, but it is small and loosely organized. I am often the only female rider. We call ourselves MADcyclists (Madison county - get it?
) We ride about 2x a week plus weekends during daylight savings time, but most of us can only manage weekend rides this time of year. Weekday rides average about 23 miles & weekend rides can be anywhere from 25 - 75 miles each. C'mon up & join us sometime!
