Sounds good. We didn't even set a time.
However, Ms Trekhawk is driving all the way from Grass Valley so she'll get to make that decision.
Mmm, hot apple cider is good for a code, right? Would cinnamon schnapps be even more good?

Sorry about the cold SK. Hope you will be feeling better soon. I will probably make my decision Friday night as I will need to get away pretty early Sat morning to get to the ride start at a decent time. If it looks good for riding Sarah tell Bill I can get myself to Diablo that way he can stay home and nurse you. Not 100 percent sure yet but it looks like a friend of ours (a pilot with Cathay) might be in SF for the night so I might need to head to SF after leaving you all on Saturday. Tell Bill he is a gem though for thinking of me.
Now all I will need is some directions on how to get there and a chant for good weather.![]()

Gahh. Folks, this is not looking good.
From the latest weather report:
---------------------------------------
...RAIN RETURNS FOR THE WEEKEND...
THE DRY WEATHER THAT CENTRAL CALIFORNIA HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING FOR THE LAST
TEN DAYS LOOKS TO BE COMING TO AN END. A SERIES OF PACIFIC STORM
SYSTEMS WILL BEGIN TO MOVE INTO CENTRAL CALIFORNIA LATE FRIDAY
AFTERNOON...WITH RAIN CONTINUING THROUGH SUNDAY.
THE FIRST PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING THE HEAVIEST RAIN INTO THE
NORTH BAY FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING...WITH LIGHTER RAIN TO
THE SOUTH. GUSTY SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL ACCOMPANY THIS SYSTEM. THE
NEXT PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING THE HEAVIEST RAIN TO THE SANTA
CRUZ AND SANTA LUCIA MOUNTAINS...WITH LIGHTER RAIN TO THE NORTH.
MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO DRIVE WITH EXTREME CAUTION ONCE RAINFALL
BEGINS. THE LAST TEN DAYS OF DRY WEATHER HAS ALLOWED A FILM OF OIL TO
COLLECT ON ROADS. RAINFALL ON TOP OF THAT OILY LAYER WILL INITIALLY
RESULT IN SLIPPERY DRIVING CONDITIONS AND INCREASED STOPPING
DISTANCES. TRAVELERS GOING INTO THE SIERRA NEVADA MOUNTAINS SHOULD BE
PREPARED FOR WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS.

Yeah, that doesn't sound promising.![]()
Leslie, will you still be down this way to meet up with your family friend, even if the ride is a no-go?
Keep calm and carry on...
No rain here yet, but very high winds. The Diablo weather station reported a peak wind speed of 66mph at 5pm.I think I'll make a date with Coach Troy for tomorrow and save Diablo for another day.
It's been spattering rain here in Oakland all afternoon, and the weather report I just heard called for thundershowers all weekend starting tonight.
Rats.
Keep calm and carry on...
