It was well and truly the best gift I could've wanted, and so much more than I could've ever asked you for, X. Thank you, from the very bottom of my heart.
It's quite... er... sheer, though. Gotta wear at least a little somethin' somethin' under it, or people will see far more than I'm ok with.

    Hugs,
    ~a

    PS....
it was a good ~4hrs, too!

    oh my

Oh my oh my oh my...My dear has a nice apostrophe and uses his brackets well.

    That was worth a try..

I just love coming to TD after work.

I'm not feeling 500% today..(there's 5 of me you see) and have no idea what's up. It could be the power gel i had on our ride last night or just the smidgen bit of coke I had..or going to bed at 1030pm after a ride, realizing it was wayyyy late to have dinner & then getting up early to go to work...

Whatever it is i'm feeling a smidgen bit dizzy and quite tired..I'm going to go and have a nap.

    ciao c

Grammar humor ... I love you guys! You totally made my morning. Now off to fight with the doctor's office.

    coffee crisis!

I've been a bit distracted the last couple days and have let the housework slide. (that's putting it mildly) Got up, made my coffee, went to get a mug and NO CLEAN MUGS!

So, I'm drinking my coffee this morning from the traditional Mason jar.

It just cracks me up that I even had one, so I just HAD to use it!

(does anyone else remember when Ball made jars with mug handles? (I saw them around for a year or two in the 80's or 90's) Ya gotta love a company that can play off the canning-jar-as-drinking-vessel mystique!)

Edit: no spoons either, so I'm eating my yogurt with one of those little honey-jar spoons!
I'm just a vision of elegance and refinement this morning!

OMG! for a minute there I thought you were out of coffee, never mind

Knott, I'm shocked, I'm shocked I tell you.

And here I thought you were a domestic goddess. I mean you cook, right? So your house must be a vision from Martha Stewart.

This will bring Spazzdog who's seen my hovel out of lurkdom to say "Trek, y'all gots no room to talk" She can tell you all about that at lunch next weekend.

Speaking of dishes, no time to do mine...got to walk the mutt.....then off to work

"A vision from Martha Stewart"... with a hangover.

Martha would faint. She'd have to bring her entire crew to my house just to make it acceptable. She could bring me a plumber, too. One of the joys of being the basement apartment at the end of the building's plumbing system is slooooooow drains. Time to go buy another gallon of Zep enzyme drain cleaner.

My dining room light (which was just replaced because it tried to start a fire) has blown both lightbulbs. Now, those are NEW lightbulbs in a NEW fixture. Pooey. But at least I get to be enviro-commando and replace them with my own compact flourescents. (sp) The new fixture is one of those stupid half-dome-flush-with-the-ceiling things, which holds all the heat from the bulbs and makes 'em burn out PDQ. CF bulbs will be peachy!

How does Martha feel about CF's?

Just wanted to tell you all quick that CWR IM'd me late last night (early this a.m.) and we talked for a while. She's fine and having fun. Says it's DAMM hot down there. hehe - I reminded her that to her, 40F is hot. Anyway, she sends you all a big hug and a very loud HI THERE!! She misses you all. Inspite of her feet hurting, she's been getting out and running. Lots of swimming too. I'll let her tell you the rest when she gets back.
Anyway, I thought you'd like to know. I gotta go get some stuff done around here. I spent a lot time on the cell phone and online last night. No regrets dearest Kit, ever. It was my pleasure and privilege to spend your b-day evening with you. Thank you for that little sis. Glad you liked the bike gift. Sheer? Nah, you're just too conservative!

Morning all.. DH drove me and my bike to work, so I can ride my bike all the way home yeah, yeah, all 4 miles.
I also was most impressed with the apostrophes and commas and ampersands.
It is too early for me to attempt to be humorous, I am doing well enough to find the right words in the right language. okay, i'm exaggerating a little.

I am most confused about CWR RUNNING. didn't she just get FOOT surgery
on both feet and will be in a wheel chair?

Knotted, you gave me a eureka moment. You know you have too many coffee mugs if you NEVER, EVER run out of clean ones. you know what i'm saying?
the shelf is full and there is a second level of mugs on top of the first level of mugs..
(we run out of spoons though, people don't give out Spoons as gifts or commemorative stuff) maybe that's what we should do, give teachers spoons and forks as presents... spoons and butter knives for little grab bag gifts.
    okay, i'll shut up now.

Too funny TD! You ladies crack me up.

I can't read RBR - just irratates me too much.

Lise, nice talking to you too Hon. I made a little modification to my profile to hopefully stop the non available ones from bugging me. Worth a shot.

I'm picking up my vehicle on Friday instead. So the accord needs to hold up for an extra day. I'm getting excited

OTG, great news on the continued weight loss! I am so happy for you. Good luck with the dr. today - I know what a PITA that can be.

Knot - congrats on the GRE!! That is great. So how's the app coming along??

Off to let out the first cup a joe and down #2. Forgot my bisquits for the company potluck today - they're serving fried chicken. Yummy!

My home internet connection has been down since Sunday, so I feel like I've been missing the party.

My grandmother used to drink out of Mason jars all the time. No handles either. Speaking of spoons, is anybody else here a connoseur of the spork? I have this one
    and this one
both in titanium, and this one .
in lexan which is called a foon. Great for eating noodle soups, and absolutely anything you can cook while backpacking.

Thanks, Snap, for preserving history in a little TD time warp. Some of us would miss out otherwise.

you're smart enough to say "I don't know" sometimes. That's all i need to know
it means your advice is sound because if you don't know you aren't going to spew BS.
That's why you are so appreciated by me anyway.

    DebW,
I know how you feel! I got back form Missouri , which was adventure and a Half . Got Stranded in Dallas on Friday(after the power to the terminal went out and we had to get out of the back of the plane.) Wound up stayinng with my aunt and uncle, and flying to Saint Louis on Saturday. had mom pick me up , as they still weren't flying to Cape Girardeau. I finally got my checked luggage (with Xmas inside ) on Monday. Thankfully, Yesterday's flights were uneventful.
Now to get caught up. What's with this work thing?

I only went there as a show of support to my cousin.

    He posts there.

I issued a hall pass so he could post here on:

We'll wean him away from rbr.

Even bikejournal is way more better for a coed cycling board. The only thing rbr has going for it is they use the same format. software as TE and the format agrees with me. Easy to find stuff, navigate.

Bike journal is a better gang of folks.

Yeah, *finally* heard from the doctor, and he says the orthotics are simple and easy to fix. Got an appointment next week. Why the person who does all his orthotics casting couldn't tell me that I don't know.
