Here are some photos from my trip to the homeland (Crested Butte). Trail 401 is a must-do, and offers something different every month in the progression from spring flowers to summer corn lily and cow parsnip 4 feet high slapping your legs to amazing autumn aspen leaves. I was up there in late July.
Whew, I made it!
View at the top, turned slightly left from the last pic. The faint trail in the center is the old way up. The trail to the right is the new, improved re-route.
Turn a little more to the left and it's time to drop in!
Damn, this is fun!!
