Well, I was born in New Mexico. My mother up and left her home state for grad school -- actually for college in Minnesota and then NM for grad school. But I spent most of every August there through high school.

To this day, it isn't REAL corn on the cob if it isn't field corn picked after you put the water on the stove.

Oh, yeah, that sweet corn is the best. Friends and I used to go out in the field and pick our own. Yummy!
