I'm only a little jealous... actually I'm pretty comfortable with my low income, low drama existance, But, my LBS has this Time...fully decked out, bee_utee_full bike...in my size, not that I could even handle that much bike...but the thought of it going to "noobie" as a play toy. Well, it just bugs me. It deserves better.

Kit - I'd be worried after not hearing from you for about 12 hours. Any more than 15 and I promise to call H for a pick up at the airport and will personally crawl around through the brush and muck on my hands and knees to find ya. Then I'll bandage, splint, wrap, cast, tourniquet, suture, start an i.v., perform the heimlich, build a lean-to shelter, catch fish, start a fire to keep you warm (and for the fish cuz that ain't sushi grade in that creek ya know), shear a sheep-make it into yarn-knit you a sweater and some socks (as soon as I learn to knit), God forbid do CPR on ya or just simply kiss the boo-boo and make it all better. Good enough? **hug**
BTW, thanks for the talk tonight. It really perked me up, can you tell?

AG - Put the Goose down then back away slowly and no one will get hurt. (or hung over ) You're way funny. As for the Ferrari dude... pleeeease! That's just the tell-tale sign of a guy who buys a little red stick shift cuz his own little red stick shift doesn't work too well. (Yep, I said it and I ain't deleting it either. hehe.) Hope that one made ya smile AG. Catch ya later.

    NOW, it's time for bed.
    g'night TD!

    visit

Salsa...The team name def suits me....i'm a slug when mtn biking some days... or should i make that most days...not a big fan of high speed...

I'd love to hear your ladies accents, esp the southern ones ya'll.

I have been informed on many occasions I sound Irish. I have no idea how people think that...I am Canadian but have lived overseas for a while so the accent may have changed a smidgen but not that much. Ian notices the accent comes back when I talk to my mom on the phone.

Kit..do you eat breakfast before you leave for work? Are you able to eat when you get there and therefore making sure you have a good dinner the night before? What about eating say a bagel w vegemite(if you can find it) or honey along with a banana? Or some kind of healthy cereal with milk, banana, honey and raisins?

AG-if you had a BF with a ferari i don't know if you'd bike much...Could a bike fit into one? That's my only thought....

X-big whinge...when ya comin for a visit hey? I promise we won't drown or get stung by stingers or other weird creatures..

    Hey there TD.

I'm back from the Sunshine Coast. Beaut weather - 27-30˚C, not so much as a threat of rain. Swam in the pool, swam in the sea, swam in the lake, swam in the creek. Ate lots. Better ride my bike tomorrow.

    Night everyone.

Hey, AG, I briefly dated a guy last spring from match who drove a Jaguar, etc. He dumped me without a word. No goodbye. Just gone. Still active on match, so not dead, just dead to me, I guess. I resolved, in the painful days that followed, to never again date a man who had more invested in his car than in his heart. BLECH!

    J. has hair, teeth, and a great sense of humor. Last night we'd planned to get together after I was done with a meeting, but it was going to be late. When he realized how late, he said he was just going to stay home and go to bed. I made myself be a grownup and realize that the man was tired. That's all. We won't have another chance to see each other until Friday night. Alas. But absence does make the heart grow fonder...

The weather's been so warm here that I'm dying to ride my bike. I'm scheduled for so many hours at work, though, that I can barely do what I need to do around the house. Got up 1/2 hr early today to at least get in some yoga stretches. The temps are supposed to drop dramatically tomorrow. I think I'll at least get out for a run on Friday.

    Have a great day, TD'ers!

I just realized what I want to do (instead of working an 8 hr clinic followed by 12 hr on call over night): Sit home and watch The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Go for a bike ride. Take a nap. Sounds like a viable alternative, right? OK! OK! I'm off to work!

AG- Welcome to TD! Okay, we can get your through dating, we have helped many chose potential dates. First we need to get your to set the bar a tad higher than teeth.

    Salsa-Glad the card arrived.

Mimi-was your birthday a happy one? What did you do?

OTG-you are doing fantastic. I am very proud of you and you are a huge inspiration to me. I dreamt I was swimming laps last night and loving it.

Dar- How is Xena this morning?

Trek-you did the right thing! Oh, this is from a TE thread (cannot recall which one) you mentioned being under tall (me too!) I wanted to say I think you look lovely. I wish more women would learn to love their bodies, but I shall not go there un caffeinated.

Knot-I have those talks with the boys as well and they get this bored glazed over look. Did you save any dinner for me? I was not able to make anything last night.

X-I am so glad to see you! Please play with me more often. Oh, that sounded odd. You know what I mean, I hope. Glad you liked the card. I miss you.

Kit-what did you do to your knee? I would have stayed awake and ignored my pain. I honestly did not know you were hurt. Now I feel badly I was not there for you.

    CC-The team names are awesome.

Lise-I am so happy for you and J. I honestly od not have words that are adequate enough to convey just how happy I am for you. I am sorry you will not see each other until Friday, but imagine how much nicer it will be after a few days apart. sitting home and watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy with runs added in sounds lovely to me.

Annie-I did not run yesterday, it was a bad day. I plan to run today in the rain. 67 here, were oh where is the snow?

    DD-Welcome Back!

If I missed someone, it was not intentional.

Anytime. I love my boots. I do not wear high heeled shoes, ever! Not even at my weding! I had one pair of jean hemmed here..are you seated? It was $33!!! So, I went out and bought a pair of black boots and a brown sueded waterproof pair. Love them, comfortable and my pants now fit and I look taller and leaner. An added bonus.

These boots were made for walkin'...

I have hiking boots and rubber boots. Oh, and steel-toed Butch Babe Boots. I also have a pair of cowboy boots that don't fit that I need to send to Limewave.

Haven't had dress boots in a long time. Can't really wear them at work. Bummer.

Seattle schools are closed again. Ug. And there is ice on the inside of my windows. maybe I should turn on the heat?

Trek's got the coffee going for TD, so I'll get hopping on scrambled eggs and sausage for everyone!

BMo3 - Don't worry I had my oj this morning so I'm thinking clearly enough for the both of us right now. I knew what you meant. (I missed you too. ) But still, go get that coffee dear. You never know what you might say to someone else.

Kit - Didja drive today? Give yourself a break, it's ok. Take it easy for a day or two. But then right back on the saddle sister, no excuses! Well, not if it's not safe tho. I want to see ya, just not as part of a search party. Of course, with all that rain out there, I'd have an excuse to buy some hip waders, wouldn't I? Hmmmm...

CWR - Only a couple of more days 'til the doc. Hang in there. It'll get fixed soon after I hope and then, as if by magic, your world will change. Back to happy, joyous little piggies. Now, I don't personally have much experience with scars *wink, wink* but I tend think most are dang cute and sometimes just down right sexy. Especially if having them gets you back on the bike again. Enjoy your new freedom of pain free walking and riding. Have a wonderful day.

Off to the banker chick again. Documents, documents, documents! Why is everything in triplicate still?! Don't they own a copier? I just wanna go have fun in the mud before it starts to freeze. That's not too much to ask, right?

Have a nice hump day and be safe. (no matter who/what you're humpin' )

    Knot,
Mine are most definitely not fashion boots. They are from Zappos.com (love the free shipping both ways). I bought White Mountain boots, with inside zippers and chunky heels. I love them. Never thought I would wear boots, who knew they were so comfortable.

I have to toddle off to work, but wanted to get in a quick read. Thanks, X. I said I didn't need the kind of attention I'd get from my crash yesterday. could you let it be on TD? Nooo! I'm fine. Thanks for the chat last night, too. even though I was falling asleep. and you need to get some sleep too, young lady! Don't make me come over there!

BMo3 it's ok. I'm hardly that injured. I'll live, and you need your sleep. take good care of yourself, I'm generally always here.

Trek- My knee's fine, just... colorful. It's bending ok this morning. The only problem is being stiff everywhere else this morning (wouldn't it figure?) but it's nothing a hot shower can't fix.

What happened was, I was taking a hill-and-a-corner, with a jeep behind and to the left of me. My wheels go out from underme (to the left) and my knee and hip hit the frosted pavement. I use my right arm (which immetiately went to the curb) to pull me and the bike to the side of the road (couldn't get traction enough to get up right away). About when I go down, the jeep slams on her brakes and skids. How far, I don't know, because I was busy hauling my klutzy azz out of her way. I finally look up and over at the jeep, curled as tightly as I can to the side, and her front right tire was a bout a foot and a half from my hip. It coulda been a much rougher morning. Then there was also the bussload of stupid teenagers who witnessed and had to *laugh* about my crashing, but I don't see a single one of those pansies out on a bike any time soon.
so I'm ok. icing my knee. feeling stiff all over, but that's life. gonna be driving for a little while. at least until the roads aren't as slick.

agh I'm gonna be late. you ladies behave!
