Oh how yummy!! It looks a little elderly, though..describtion says light in weight, but I wonder...still it would be fun for neighborhood rides with my sons...

My best girlfriend just got her touring Bianchi stolen at the local Kinko's...she just turned away for a moment and the bike was gone!!! Stories like this lead to me support the chopping off of hands!!

So, surlygirl...do you ride a surly? I ride a green bean green Surly Cross Check, and she is such a lovely girl! I'm going to get another this spring...

Fun tme photos of boys on bikes, for sure, at Surly Bikes...

I sure do ride a Surly. I also have the green bean Cross-Check. Crystal over at girlbike.com hooked me on it. I love the darn thing and have upgraded just about everything on it, I like to tinker. I'm only 5.0 tall so I have the smallest 42cm. Its almost time to put my baby away for the winter which makes me sad. Snow is four letter word to me. So how come you are getting another one? Crystal is selling hers on Ebay if you are interested.

I've (well, my boyfriend has) changed out almost everything, too...

I'm getting another because my boyfriend has been trying to take her over...

He has a custom built MTB bike with an IF frame, but he rides my bike every chance he gets (we're almost exactly the same size)...he feels entitled because he's done so much to it...but I definately creep in on his bike, so I guess we're even...

I'm going to get another cross check and he's going to build a single speed MTB...then we'll have enough bikes as to not step on each other's toes...I'd check out your friend's bike, but alas I have to wait for my tax return...plus with all the snow, snow, snow, I'd hate to have a pretty new bike just sittin' in the garage...

I know my man sounds like such an a55...but really he is a lovely boy is so many ways that his attempts at bike coup can be overlooked...

Sounds like a great winter project building up a new bike. Maybe you should take one of those classes they offer at some of the LBSs. Then you could tinker with your own bike, or if all else fails buy a couple of books like I did and read and play. Nothing like being able to work on your own bike. My hubby just bought a Specialized Roubaix. Its a beauty, expensive, carbon, but alas, there is nothing to upgrade on it. For me, that's half the fun. I think Crystal sold her Cross-check, I don't see it in her listings. Check out her web-site though, she has great information.
