    Well ladies...
Day three. Winds 20-25 mph out of the north rain by later this afternoon. Should I ride or should I drive. Hmmm....

So I decided to ride. We have a noon release from school, plenty of time to beat the rain.

Well, it started coming down in buckets at 8:40 am. Ha, so much for pm rain.

I got an email from DH...need a pick up?
Nope I will suck it up and ride home. I have been wet before....

    So now it is official...

    newbie bike commuter....

Oh and DH ordered the blinky light things for me so I can be seen from behind.

    You are one tough chica!

I haven't ridden to work in at least a month because of the cold, wind and rain.

One day, when it started raining as I was hitting the road for home, my husband made me turn around and head back to work so he could pick me up in the car because he was worried about me riding in the rain. At first, I was mad at him but when we got further north and I saw how much harder it was raining at home compared to at work, I was pretty happy for the ride.

Good for you for sticking with it!

    yep

Ya know...I ride to train, on the street, on the trails, always training for a race, but somehow this is different. These 6 little miles a day are in some way different.

I think your commuting not only helps you but also makes a statement for sustainable living, cleaner environment and simplicity. Maybe that's what makes it different. Keep up the great work!

This deserves a thread to itself. I love all my rides, but my commute is different. I'm actually going somewhere!

    Keep up the good ride!
