why do I think freezing it might work? I'm just thinking maybe the glye would 'crack' off then. It usually works with chewing gum. I'm not sure about petrochemical products, as jerseys are usually synthetic and made out of petrochemical by-products, think solvents could penetrate into or damage the fabric. Eucalyptus oil comes from Australia I believe, we used to use it a lot, but I have a feeling you should never leave a quantity of it on some materials, e.g. light plastic, as it may eat through over a bit of time. Still I think that's what I'd try if freezing it did not work.
