You are safe and loved here. I wish I could make the pain go away. I can tell you that it will eventually go away.

Huge Hugs!

I'm so sorry CWR. That's such a hard decision to make but I applaud you for having the gumption to know when something is working and when it isn't even though it's difficult. So many times we stay in a relationship because splitting up is too hard (10 years too long in a 20 year marraige for me.) Hugs to you from me too...

You're very loved, Chica. Be kind to yourself and hug your furbaby, too. You made the right decision, and after it stops hurting you'll feel the relief, I promise. *tight hugs part II*

{{{{CWR}}}} I know it sucks right now but one day I promise you are going to wake up and and the pain you feel right now will just be a melancholy memory that will actually make you smile......

don't give up

(((((((((((((((((CWR)))))))))))) from down under.

My dear you did what your heart said was right. YOu're a good woman.

I have to post the lyrics to "Don't Give Up"By Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush.

Don't Give Up

in this proud land we grew up strong
we were wanted all along
I was taught to fight, taught to win
I never thought I could fail

no fight left or so it seems
I am a man whose dreams have all deserted
I've changed my face, I've changed my name
but no one wants you when you lose

don't give up
'cos you have friends
don't give up
you're not beaten yet
don't give up
I know you can make it good

though I saw it all around
never thought I could be affected
thought that we'd be the last to go
it is so strange the way things turn

drove the night toward my home
the place that I was born, on the lakeside
as daylight broke, I saw the earth
the trees had burned down to the ground

don't give up
you still have us
don't give up
we don't need much of anything
don't give up
'cause somewhere there's a place
where we belong

rest your head
you worry too much
it's going to be alright
when times get rough
you can fall back on us
don't give up
please don't give up

'got to walk out of here
I can't take anymore
going to stand on that bridge
keep my eyes down below
whatever may come
and whatever may go
that river's flowing
that river's flowing

moved on to another town
tried hard to settle down
for every job, so many men
so many men no-one needs

don't give up
'cause you have friends
don't give up
you're not the only one
don't give up
no reason to be ashamed
don't give up
you still have us
don't give up now
we're proud of who you are
don't give up
you know it's never been easy
don't give up
'cause I believe there's the a place
there's a place where we belong
_______

Again, take care

TD is the place to be during this life event. (I wouldn't've made it through mine without these gals.) PM me if you want.

Helpful hint from my personal experience: don't drink the whole bottle in one night. And if you do anyway, be sure to post on TD all night long!

That's beautiful Lisa. You have such great words of wisdom.

Happy Birthday Nanci!!

And Nanci, I have to confess that I didn't get the snake thing at first. I like how you explained it in one of your recent posts though and I understand. I can see their beauty in your pictures and how you talk about them. Thanks for sharing that and opening my mind to something new!

((((CWR))) It's all been said and my phone line and home are open to you any time. Love on that puppy and ride that bike - its very good therapy. Doing the right thing is never easy. My saying that helped me was "if He leads you to it, He'll lead you through it."

Went out with my friend Steve last night. Had a couple drinks but behaved myself - we did hold hands though. Slept in this morning then walked my dogs for 4 miles. Now I'm trying to catch up with you chatty TD'ers.
Did I tell you my chiro told me he'd get me to a point where I could run again and "then I'd be an athlete"? A$$hole. That pissed me off. I am an athlete with a winter layer on

Off to order my buffs then organize my closet while listening to Meatloaf and drinking a merlot. I'll check back later gators...

We are getting ready for the twins' birthday dinner. They can choose whatever they want and they chose food from DLM, so pasta salads all around. Saves me from cooking. While they are out I will be decorating then we are going to eat two cakes (one is a Killer Brownie cake the other is a Mile High Cheesecake), open gifts and watch the movie 8 Below.

Today has been a very lazy day for me. No exercise, no running. I know it is okay and even good to take a day off, yet I feel like a slug. I am not going to even think about the calories I shall be consuming tonight.

Who was it that made Chicken Stew not long ago? Was that you Knot? I have been craving it since I read about it. Do you have a recipe?

I'm not much of a recipe person. I tend to just throw things together and adjust as needed.

Here's what I did:
*half a rotisserie chicken (the kind you buy precooked, it was the leftovers from dinner)

*3 or 4 or maybe 5 cubed potatoes

*5 or so sliced carrots

*3 heads of garlic (maybe 30 cloves?) peeled and left whole

*3 or 4 bay leaves

*heaping palmful of dried rosemary

*some paprika, just cuz it smelled good

*salt, pepper

Put it all in the crock pot and added some water, left it cooking about 12 hours. I did try to pick out the majority of the bones before serving it, but that's as "fancy" as I got with the prep.

Right now the crock pot is going with a new chicken and lentils. Gotta add some carrots and brown rice. Forgot to buy celery, which I really like in soups.

Next week I'm gonna make a beef stew. Since SKnot doesn't eat red meat, I'll cook it while he's at his dad's, and I can freeze some for later. The last beef stew I made was really good. Looooooove the crock pot!

Dar - how about going after your friend Steve? Hey, he held your hand and he wasn't under protest, right?

KG - touch is mighty fine for the soul. I'd rather have a fabulous cuddler than a fabulous lover, when all is said and done. And when you can get BOTH in the same person, whoooeeeee!

Thank you! Sounds delish and simple. Love the 3 heads of garlic! Think I'll do some crockpot chicken tonight, although I have no leftovers so will have to use some breasts from the freezer. Will remember your "non-recipe" for the next time we buy a rotisserie chicken, which is often
