    If you're just asking about the color, do whatever you want. A ton of us ride colored tired. It's fun.

    I could see where the tread could help in your conditions, though at 23 mm I'm not sure how much! I wonder if they come in 25 or 28. I do like my Specialized tires.

    They do come in 25s. Other versions like the Sport come in 28 too.

    So far the current tread has been pretty decent, but could be better on some corners. I like how the new ones go even farther to the motorcycle style.

    I don't much care about the color. Blue would probably be OK.

    I love Continental 4-season tires. They hug the road and have little rolling resistance. My LBS says they are the last of the true rubber tire and that they are usually round (always a good thing!).

    The drawback is that they might not last as long as other tires and they are expensive. Once I tried them, I knew I'd sacrifice.
