I want a BIKE shower curtain!

    To disable ads, please log-in.

DH and I have agreed to decorate our guest bathroom with a cycling theme. We want to buy the Park Tools Toilet Paper holder. The next thing would be a shower curtain that has bikes. Anyone ever seen one? Maybe even some bike fabric, my mother is pretty talented with sewing.

I was considering getting a framed bike print or stenciling a bike on the wall. Then I just need to find some towels, but I bet a can get some embroidered locally.

Maybe your mom could make a fabric one for you and you could hang it with a clear shower curtain liner?

    Which toilet paper holder?

There are all sorts of bike prints here:

I was once told that any Aggie worth his or her diploma had an Aggie-themed bathroom. Is your bike bathroom going to be in maroon and white, by any chance?

This topic is just the "off-topic" bit of frippery to take my mind off of heavier matters this morning. Thanks for that.

Thanks for the link. Looks like a lot of neat stuff. I think since we both have blue bikes the bathroom should be blue! We haven't picked a color palette though.

We are going to have an Aggie themed study. I have had it planned for a couple years. Bright white chair rail, maroon below. Above the chair rail the wall will be white. That is the area we will hang our diplomas and maybe a print or our engagement photos (taken at A&M).

Here is the TP Holder. If you notice you open the quick release to load the paper. We saw it at one of the local bike shops in the bathroom and had to have one!

What about painting the bike theme onto a clear plastic shower curtain? Maybe just tire tracks? Or a silhouette of bikes?....Or a helmet where your head would be if you were standing in there? heehee...

Sounds like a great plan either way - I'll be mentioning this idea to my own DH....

    I can't sew, so i paid a 20 something 50 bucks to make them.

    he loves them!

    I found fabric!

My mother is going to help me make a shower curtain. It will be my first real sewing project. I am thinking of using this fabric.

We are considering painting the bathroom BRIGHT yellow. I may not start until after the first of the year, but I have a lot of ideas for this project.

Heehee! I've been working on giving my guest room a bike theme(when guests aren't here, the bikes live there), where did you get that pattern? I've been trying to find fabric to make curtains!

    Yelloow Jersey Bathroom...

We completely gutted our bathroom earlier this year. While not completely bike-themed, I have dubbed it the "yellow jersey" bathroom. Walls are painted Bicycle Yellow - not making it up - that's the name of the paint color we chose! I also framed a couple of Graham Watson prints, including one of the sunflowers and another of the Col de Lautaret.

Love the fabric for the shower curtain though! Have fun with it.

    p.s.
The bicycle yellow paint came from Home Depot and is Behr brand.

I found the fabric here. I may make my guest room some bike throw pillows and window toppers. My mom made us a wonderful set of shams and throw pillows for our master bedroom. I wonder how much sewing I can get for free?

We are planning to buy one or two Graham Watson prints for the guest bath! Thanks for the tip on the paint. I am going to pick up a color chip at lunch.

OUr guest room has bicycle fabric curtains. I found it on line, dont remember the store though. it's not dramatic, and it is covered with little classic bicycles.

oops, sorry, i just noticed this is an old old thread and i already posted once about the same thing.

Last time I was browsing on e-Bay I saw the paper wrapper from a Campagnolo cogset- from the 70's- ( It was sort of a sleeve that the cog set would have been slid into for shipping ) It was extremely cool- If you like retro looking stuff

I thought it was suitable for framing- almost bid on it for a friend I mine that belongs to the church of Campy- I'm just a shimano girl!
