Congrats on finishing the distance!
I know it can be a little disappointing when you are in the back of the pack, and you don't seem to get the same "treatment" as the other racers... who came in earlier!
I did a race where my partner and I (it was a team challenge) came in dead last, and we too were ignored and left to take care of ourselves. It was upsettting and I was pretty annoyed.
But, you did finish the distance and that's a huge accomplisment. I bet if you do a larger race with a longer cut off time, you will NOT be in the back of the pack and you will have a different experience."Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather, to skid in broadside thoroughly used-up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: WOW WHAT A RIDE!!!!"
