Kit- I hope your first day at your new job is going smoothly.
X- I am sorry about your thumb.
Is it any better today? How is your friend doing?
CyclChyk- You definitely have been cheated on your massages. A really well done massage is worth wonderful. (where is the drooling smilie)
CWR- Enjoy your spa day.
You need extra strength for your friend? I missed something. I hope all is going to be okay.
Dar- Please send the snow to me. I need snow. I will be forty in June '09, so a little less than 3 years. How do I stay motivated? I am very focused, always have been, except those years after giving birth when I kept the pregnancy weight on. I did not become truly focused again on my well being until Jan '05, my boys were old enough and I was way too out of shape. I quit teaching (YAY) found peace and balance again and completely changed my lifestyle. No way am I going back or regaining the weight it took a 1 1/2 to get off-slow and steady-the weight stays off that way.
I cannot really explain my focus other than it is an internal drive to constantly be better. I am not competitive in anything or anyone, except myself. I have no clue if I am making any sense. How do I find time to workout? I am now, thankfully, a SAHM. I exercise at home-I really hate gyms. I will need to go when I am cleared to swim, I do not mind pools, just gyms and gym classes. I was not allowed to bike long enough to do any really long trips. Short ones, the boys biked along. I do aerobic body training/weights in the morning and I run at night. Also, my little ones are not quite so little (14, 12, and 12)
I motivate myself better than I think any gym class/personal trainer could. I do not work and play well with others.
Take care of your back. It sounds dreadfully painful.
Spokewench- Welcome back!
Kelownagirl-I am so sorry you are sick. Get lots of rest and feel better soon.
