People are quite resistant to screwcaps, but with 5% of ALL cork-closed wine being corked- and 0% of screwcapped wine being corked- it's a no-brainer. I've lost two irreplaceable bottles to being corked. it sucks.

Once again I missed out. Caught it when only L or XL (cannot recall) were left. Earlier I was placing the order for a SmartWool top for DH's birthday and was apparently too slow typing because by the time I hit submit, they had sol out of his size. Ugh.

I love screwcaps! They're so easy to use!

And I also love mr. Toad. What a face!

BMo3 - Wow I read your dialogue with the nurse - these people! I had to just shake my head. Please take care of yourself. That's the most important thing. But you're right - why would they not see you before 12/21 if it were something so serious you shouldn't run?? Can you maybe call your doctor and talk to him/her?? I didn't know you were on coumadin, but it makes sense. Are you having regular protime tests? Where do they want your INR?? How much are you taking?

Lise - still happy about J!! SOunds so good!

Hi (waving) to all the rest of you great TD ladies! It's been a little busy and I had a lot of TD to catch up on so I know I have missed some stories. Now if Kit would only get her Clif Notes version finalized...

My daughter's Senegal Roy is getting more leg removed Friday. The foot just won't heal.

Inez came out at 7PM for a minute.

MP- You try making an effective "Cliff's Notes" version of a 400+ page document that changes and grows daily! It's hard! And I'm doing this at work!

I imagine that Inez must just want to rest and be warm and quiet for a few days after her travel ordeals- must have been a lot of scary vibration and noise for her in that plastic tub, traveling so far!

I cannot get past Dr. KIJ's nurse. But I guess I need to phone her tomorrow to ask her some questions about my coumadin. I am on 2mg right now and was told to come in for a Prothrombin Time test. Apparently this will let them know if my doseage is correct or if they need to up it. I have no clue what my clotting time should be, so I need to ask questions. Sounds silly that I have not as of yet, but I am mainly working in a state of total denial.

Oh I am sorry to hear this. Healing thoughts for Roy. Let us know how it goes.

Not telling you your test results immediately is exactly why I got in trouble for looking up my own results...They should have to tell you right away- waiting is BS.

whew! what a crazy day at work! pardon while I vent, as I think I spent the last 10 hours typing, and doing nothing else. And I had planned on call my hairstylist and changing an appointment, since I figured it's bit further over to Tucson than I thought. Maybe I'll let it grow.. Or maybe I'll stay here. After my experiences this summer, I'm still a little leery of group riding, much less with 8,000 other folks at least I didn't have to ride the train back with the rubber band eating lady who was off her psych meds. beats driving

    Vent alert!

BMo3 - I agree with Nanci on them holding your results from you. You have every right to know what's going on with your own body - right now. They are your results, not theirs.
I'm in an instant gratification type of medical field so we give results right then for stats or by the very next morning for regular cases. I always tell my patients to call their ordering doc the very next day before lunch to get their results.
That bull she gave you over the phone would not fly with me. I'd be in there personally looking her right in the eye ASAP. I have no problem with confrontation when it comes to a-holes. Don't let her mess with ya, BMo3.

Alright, I gotta go calm down now. I probably shouldn't be posting tonight anyway, I'm kinda in a funk. Sorry. Bummed out from some sad things at work. Can't get them out of my head. I haven't formed my hard shell yet, I guess. Kinda hope I never do but it does make it difficult to sleep sometimes. (sigh)
Geez, I really need a massage and some TLC tonight. **looks around at an empty house... Again.** Guess I've gotta settle for a glass of wine and some catching up on old TD posts instead. Cheers!

Now what page of TD was I on? Mousing, mousing, oh heck the bookmark fellout.

CC- Cool? Me? That's actually the last thing that comes to my mind about myself. How about messed up in the head, too stupid to quit, too stubborn to quit, always gotta do things the hard way, or try to never make the same mistake twice and end up making it 10 times?
Anyway, thanks for not freaking at my pics. All of you ladies have made me feel more normal than I have in along time. Around here, I get a bunch of horrified looks.
I gotta admit, it is fun to scare little kids on the beach with shark attack stories. (just kidding, I only did that once)
You Aussies are the best. Did you know that when our docs are asleep, we send our emergency x-rays, CT's, MRI's, etc to your docs to be read. Y'all save American lives everyday over there. It's called Night Hawk and our hospitals use it all the time. Helps control costs too so we don't have to pay radiologists to hang out all night long. We do the same back for you guys too.
Just wanted to say that I really do enjoy reading your posts. Sorry you've got no one to ramble on with in the middle of our night. I wish our times weren't so different.

    G'night CC. See ya tomorrow!!

    Love,
    X.
