Well it really depends on what your current mileage per week is. Have you ever ran half-marathons before?? Where are you starting from??

But I think that if you have no volume under your belt (like at least 15-20 miles/week) it might not be such a good or safe idea...
You can procrastinate at many things in life, but not at training for marathons or, for that matter, half-marathons.
