What sized tires ARE you using? They still look pretty skinny to me.

Oh, you can take other road bikes on dirt roads but I wouldn't recommend it! I did it on "accident" last summer...remember this? (Especially not recommended if your bicycle is a POC aluminum machine like mine
23c tires and 20/24 spoke count 
)
