Did 15.7 miles; it was gorgeous out, 47 and sunny. I had to stop to take the liners out of my light weight full gloves, but other than that, it was non-eventful. Came home and did 2 circuits on the Cyclo-Core DVD, plus the abs and stretching. I don't think I'll be going to the gym tomorrow...

Beatutiful day in the texas hill country. 36 miles with NO arm or leg warmers on for the entire ride! Even managed to stay with the fast boys for the first 5 miles, which helped a lot with the wind. Hubby picked up some country TX BBQ for lunch while he waited for me to come in. As I rode by and smelled the smoker I was sure glad. Normally I'm not real found of TX BBQ, but this stuff was really good, not fatty at all, one of the benefits of riding in the countryside!

33 miles yesterday, 25 miles today, temp in the 40's and sunny. Had on some nice layers so I felt just right. I dragged out my old Thinsulate hiking boots and found they fit just fine in my pedal straps and felt great riding, so my cold feet issue is now solved without buying yet more stuff! DH was happy about that.
I realized I've biked 116 miles in the past 5 days- that's a lot for ME anyways! Feeling kind of sore and beat, but in a good way, and happy.
Going to heat up some fish soup now for dinner!

Finally got the energy and time to do a short ride after MIL's stroke a couple of weeks ago. Between her condition and the drenching we've been getting from the Pineapple Express.....well riding was the last thing on my mind.
Wow...what two weeks off the bikes does to one!
My tights barely fit, and those first 10km or so nearly killed me.
Still...all in all it was a pleasant 40km (25mi) road/trail ride. Mild temps (about 15C/60F), light wind, and no rain for the first time this week.

I got in 45 miles. rod all the down to Covina, and then back up the hill to home. No thight, no leg/arm warmers, and no sweat! Still, rainy season has to arrive soon... So I'm going to get the miles in when I can

Nicole and I did the Peach Tree Loop (recommended by Regina) in western Montgomery County, MD. It was my first road ride and my first ride with so many hills, and I have to say that I'm quite impressed with how well Nicole handled all my whining on the hills Seriously, though, she was a very encouraging and a great riding partner.

After one wrong turn and one missed turn (we both forgot to bring a cue sheet), we ended up just shy of 28 miles. I'm looking forward to doing the route again, though it may take me all winter to recuperate.

Oh, and Nicole: You may have to think of a new forum nickname. After today's ride, I think I qualify for the title of "MD Hill Slug" more than you do

I'm posting my ride today because it wasn't for me.

It was for all of my friends that can't ride right now for one reason or another. My buddy Martha that I did Desperado with had surgery a couple of weeks ago. I was over at her house yesterday (she is attempting to teach me to sew--SCARY! ) and she pointed out that I needed to quit being whiny and get out and ride since I could. Good point. That got me thinking about MP, and BMo3, and Bikerchick and the others that can't ride. I can ride. I'm just having a hard time getting motivated to do so for a number of reasons.

So for all you gals that can't ride, I rode a nice 37 miler for you with 3000' of climbing. From my house up to "Little Mountain", where I put my Descente wombat gloves on and turned around and headed down the hill back home...but decided to also ride City Creek Canyon and a few laps around the 'hood. My new Gore bibs kept my legs from becoming popsicles and my windblocker jersey did its job (glad I wore it instead of my woolie...too breezy for the woolie).

So your legs should feel a little sympathy fatigue this evening!
