X- You know it, sweety. Rules are suggestions at best.

Eugene had an actual free dialup system, paid for by donations by the users (run by EUGLUG, the Eugene Linux Users Group) and I loved it... wondering if there are any geeksquads in Portland that do the same thing... :P After that, I might consider athenet (my parents used it for awhile) or NetZero....

    Woohoo! Post 1000!!!!

I think by law the person who sold the house to your new neighbors is required to divulge that sort of info, but I say tell 'em just in case.... thats the kinda stuff that that makes for good psychotic episodes.....

It's a rental apartment. Literally "next door". Maybe they've already been told, but i wouldn't count on it. and they seem like nice neighbors so I don't wanna scare them off.

Dear Trek, I'm so sorry your Trek 420 got stolen. But Menace is there for you now. Sometimes we have to move on, even if we didn't want to. (and sometimes the new things are pretty nice, too.)

Yeah, Chyk, the walk-through would go like this... "Here we have the kitchen- new fridge, nice, eh? ...walk through here and we have the dining room, a window into the courtyard... nice? and the bedroom- refurnished, carpeted and redecorated um *COUGHCOUGHHACK*becausethelasttenantdecidedtospraypaintwithgreymatter... *HACKHACKCOUGHHACK* Oh!Look! Over here's the built-in closet..."
    Smooth, Chyk.

CWR will be likely to comment on WW, actually. she's just busy in freakin AZ. I hope she's enjoying the weather.

My sig used to be "hard-azz cutiepie" but I thought it was pretentious... Though... don't get me wrong, I totally love having all kinds of ladies tell me how cute I am...

CyclChyk - Thanks! How's this for excitement. I'm cleaning the house, raking leaves, finally stacking firewood I cut 2 days ago, already shampooed the carpets, gotta run out to look at a new vehicle I saw online, fixing a scrape on my car (before I trade it in), wash and wax said car, maybe ride the trainer and get in some Pilates time (stiff today), check TE occassionally in case y'all get nutsy (don't wanna miss what I missed yesterday ) and then I finally get to vedge out on the couch.

    Pretty good day I'd say.

I was thinking more like "here's the room you won't want your kid sleeping in because the previous owner felt the need to decorate it with chunks of his brain, unless, of course, you like that sort of thing...."

Did I mention I need therapy?

I don't think I've ever been referred to as a cutie pie. "Girl Next Door" was the closest I ever got.....must be the german bones.....

Thanks loads, X. You reminded me that I need to rain-x my windshield (yay oregonian rains...)
    ...you cut firewood?
A woman after my own heart! <3! How're you going about fixing that scrape on your car? Is it in need of bondo/sanding/painting or just a light little nailpolish touch-up? Go have a happy birthday. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you today.

I look forward to the day before I start commuting to work. I'm going to wash/wax my car so it's perfect. ...then park it in the garage for (hopefully!) a very long time.

Chyk- only people I know online call me 'cutiepie'. Anyone else just says I'm cute or whatever. They're usually teasing me- I know it! the worst is trying to talk to people on the phone. I have a soft little voice. DGF makes fun of me and tells me I have to "use my big-girl voice" I tell her she'd be beating men and women alike away from the front door if I did. She laughs until her sides hurt, but I'm sure that deep down, she appreciates my efforts.

Yes, even though I'm poly now (that's Menace, Bradley & Mixte Fixie) you never forget your first........bike

Snap whoo hoo! You got the online deal from SBC/Yahoo - $12.99 a month for the first year.

ATT formerly known as SBC formerly known as Pacific Bell formerly known as ATT...might not provide local basic service in Kits area.

Kit I can find out if you can get "naked DSL" (flashes inside of trench coat which has 5 dozen fake Cartier watches and Polaroids of Knots abs)

Get your minds out of the gutter TE TD, that means DSL without a phone line.

    You have just...one....bike, right?

And yet you manage to keep it exciting, riding the same bike day after day. How do you manage?

Just who are these women who are true to just one bike? How do they cope with the thought that this might be the one and only bike.

Sure you might look at other bikes, take V.s mid-life-crisis-convertible-sports-car-red-leggy Legolas for example (hubba hubba ). Sure I tell Menace I will never look at another bike, she's my lifetime bike but after all I'm not dead yet.

Of course there's always the same bike and toys, look hun, a Topeak mini-tool

M thoughts exactly, Trek. Sure you can have a CX bike. She does everything... but does she do everything *exceedingly well*? If she's not the jealous type, why not tarry a little longer with that rough and ready stud muffin of a FS MTB? Enjoy a quick sprint with that super-light track bike that says "I'm too good for you." though her slim tires whisper "well, maybe not for fifty miles..."

After all, life is long. Why not have one tried and true, whose bearings you'll change out until she can no longer be repaired... ...but play with other, more specialized models on the side? Odds are, you'll still be incredibly happy to see your special one at the end of the day... and she gets to share with you what the others never will- real life, every day.
oh, and new outfits. "Look, Miz Cakes~ waddya think of these new shorts?"

phew! 30 hours later here i sit in west virginny. made it. after two flights were late and i barely made the shuttle to the training center. but, i'm here. if you have time to spare, fly by air. the next stop is phoenix kit, so far it is nice here. i think low 40s possible and no wind. it was in the teens in achorage last night. i'm slowly getting warmer.

chyk oh trust me i caught those comments more than once.

    x happy birthday!

i tried to wave to all of you while i flew over. had a lay over for a while in chicago and waved to you chicago girls, and those up in wi.

time to settle in for a bit, but i did have to quick read over TD first to make sure i wasn't missing anything important.

I used to think I was good with geography, but maybe I'm not as good as I thought. WTF are you doing in WVA if you're supposed to be going to AZ?!
