I've got that one on my rear rack. I can only imagine how weird it'd be for my mgr to see that... :eyeroll:

Grow-ops are big business around here. I live in a fairly nice neighbourhood and we had one two doors down. Brand new house. Sold for about $50,000 less than it should have.

I thought it was still illegal in CA to grow one's own? (is it CA or CN?) something about "illegal to possess with intent to sell, illegal to distribute" but...? I'm not up on Canada's laws concerning that necessarily. just thinking that with the legal risk involved, the start-up costs and the possibility of entire crop wipe-outs (hermaphrodite crops from the wrong temp/light combination, not enough CO2, spider mites...) I can understand those costs as much as (probably more than) artists' high prices...

Ok, kelowngirl, just back slowly away from the cafe press site and no one will get hurt! I love that site. I've bought a cool shirt on there that says "Underneath it all I'm pretty much just naked." Gets some interesting reactions.

kit - growing it is definitely illegal. The consequences just aren't tough enough to stop people. There are lots of stores that sell all the equipment growers steal electricity so their power bills don't look out of whack. Indoor grow-ops are beginning to outnumber the outdoor ones out in the bush. And you certainly can't tell by looking at a house that it has a grow-op although there are a few tell tale signs like fences, dogs, security systems etc. Big bucks - must be tempting but not worth it in my opinion...

I am too lazy to try to translate your binary code. Got more garble when I used the online translators. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow when the wine is outta my system...

TD is too funny. Thanks for the laughs, all of you...

Oh and also wanted to say YAY!!! to Lise. I'm so glad you have found someone! My guy and I have been together for 2 years and we're still giddy in love. What a great feeling!

Kit - Whew! When you finally get to truly showcase all of your talents in a job situation, you'll end up being CEO. No doubt. When I got my first degree (too many years ago) I had to learn binary, ASCII, hexadecimal... Blech! Of course, we didn't get to have this kind of fun with it. And we had to figure it out ourselves. No internet cheats. (Oh, and we walked uphill through 4 ft of snow 8 miles to get to class too. )

No wonder I'm an x-ray tech now.

I'm sitting here on the couch all bleary eyed, after a looooooooong day, watching Mary Poppins on DVD while surfing TE. Hmmmm.... Not sure what that means but it can't be good. Maybe I should go to bed now. Yeah, that's it.
    G'night TD.

    Hi, TE TD,

It's too late, I'm too tired, and too far behind to catch up on TD. Just want to say "hi" and hope everyone is as well as can be......? I will try and catch up after election day.

Actually, I think we're seeing the inside of the continuum. The "outside" as it were is *behind* us, just as much as the "inside" is in front of us and we're all wound within through-out it. Trippy, huh?

It's actually done with rather fine needles and thread... the whole thing is smaller and more intricate than you'd even know... You look right at it and unless you're looking *real* close, you just see the whole thing and not all the little patterns that make it up. Groovy, huh?

    what a vocabular-ic give-away

and who is this "we" and "us" of whom you speak?

Yes, I am familiar with the in-trick-ate structure and the delicate tools required. You made the hole in the first place, so I as your elder am asking you just to Far-king fix it, that's all . You think the Universe is made for these kind of anomalies?

Just make sure you are on your proper side when you tie it all off (*with* your bike and anything else you want to have with you )

All you need is love...la-dee-da-dee-da...all you need is love!

Margo- *sigh* Yes, Ma'am. But... the Universe is strong... it can take it! The "we" is actually all of us... I think.

CC- "And sick enough to enjoy every minute of it! -Kit"

Chyk- I know what you mean. I posted one without spaces and screwed up the formatting of the thread (the box for my post extended waaaaaaaaaaaay out) so I had to go back through it to get 8 chars/char. ugh. Talk about crosseyed!

Xrayted- I was working as an admin for a little software company and had to learn HTML from scratch so I could do the contact list (Openoffice's doc-to-html leaves a lot of waste, so the doc was getting too big to pull up easily) then it was "well... why don't you learn PHP? How about ASCII?" **** people, you make me start as a *JANITOR* and now you're making me learn ASCII?! *HATE!* but it went well... I've just forgotten 9/10 of everything. Thanks for your kind words... maybe someday I'll prove myself not to be some kind of idiot savant at work

Oh. The smarta** way to convert binary to english:
    zeee-roh.... wohn.... zeee-roh...
oh, and there are 10 kinds of people in the world:
those who understand binary, and those who don't.
