OK, this is a cycling piece, but I have the jacket and it doesn't swoosh. I'm contemplating buying this vest. The front is wind block and the back is a pretty thin lycra; perfect for layering. I think it would be fantastic for running on chilly breezy days.

This also looks nice for running. I love the Sporthill stuff for skiing; I suspect it would be nice for running as well. Rated for 0-40 F.

I like vests. Jackets are OK for the coldest of days, but I'm with RedCanny. I get too close to imploding if I wear a jacket unless it's in 20s. That "new" lighweight wool (long sleeve) and a vest...perfect.

I have a Marmot driclime windshirt and it's really flappy. OK for backcountry skiing but not running. Though the flappiness may be a function of having a size too big.

    Yellow,
I have been looking at the Sporthill 0-40F vests. I layer with Under Armour, and need a vest for those chilly days.

BMo3: I just got this in the mail today (in the blue color).

I love it. It's heavier than I thought it would be but will be good for when it gets in the 20s but not so heavy that I'll sweat too much. It has vents on the front of the shoulders and in the back. And the sleeves zip off. And...it has reflective piping for those winter evening runs. I suspect it'll also get used quite a bit for XC skiing.

Have you found your perfect jacket/vest yet?

I just got a $10 coupon from TE for jackets by email just a few minutes ago. I'm assuming I'm not the only chosen one!

Yes, I received one as well. Still have not decided upon a jacket/vest though.
