I hope she gets better soon, and make sure she knows how many of us are cheering for her recovery!

Oh, Mr. Silver! I'm sure the two of you are disappointed that Silver has to stay in the hospital a little longer. My husband was hospitalized with very similar injuries several years ago (several broken ribs and a pneumothorax). Each day was a struggle, and it was very depressing when we were told he had to remain hospitalized another day.

But even though it seems like bad news that they haven't released her, try to remember that she is getting the best care possible. And I'm very glad to hear that the prognosis is good. It's just going to take a little more time.

Take care of her. Take care of yourself. And know that we're all thinking of her and hoping for a quick and complete recovery.

((((Silver)))) and ((((Mr. Silver)))) It sounds as though they are not pushing her and that can be a very good thing is these cases. She's gotta breathe with those lungs for a long time yet. With a pneumo putting pressure on delicate tissues, it's so much better that she stays in and gets it taken care of right. They're just giving her the extra TLC and the time she needs. So many get sent home way too soon and the pneumo comes back from another shift in broken ribs and what not. Remember, while the perforation is healing, so are the ribs and that in itself gives her a much quicker and safer recovery in the long run. It's frustrating, I know, to think she's so close to going home but has to stay a little longer. She'll be home soon, so just hang in there.
You are both in my thoughts daily. Sending healing vibes her way.

I also want to thank you for posting updates on Silver's condition. As you can see from all of our posts...we care and are pulling for her with prayers and well wishes.

Remember to take care of yourself too...she's going to need your help once she comes home. And, if she's anything like me (or most women) she'll probably tell you that she can do things for herself, but don't believe her. She's just trying to be brave...pamper and love her!

Silly me, why am I telling you this? Obviously you get it, or you wouldn't be taking the time to keep us informed. Silver is one lucky lady!

Hang in there and keep the faith!

Thank you so much for keeping us up to date on Silver's condition. You are a great guy and I also vote you get to be an honorary TE member! Like others have said, take care of yourself as well as this has to be a very stressful time for you. Know that while Silver is in hospital, she's getting the best care possible and continues to heal albeit slowly. We're all sending healing wishes and warm thoughts and prayers for both of you.. Well wishes

    Hi Silver --

Barb here from Perry County. Don't stop believing in recovery. Focus on healing and moments of regaining strength. You are a cyclist and we are a strong bunch. See it in your mind and patiently achieve it.

I am sorry you are going through this.

Thinking of you and your journey.

Sorry to hear about the additional hospital stay. Healing takes time and has it's own timeline - we unfortunately can't change that. Patience and love will get you through it. Hugs and prayers your way. Thanks for the update Mr. Silver (I really want to say Lone Ranger cuz you guys make a great team!).

LuvnAustin has it right - we women tend to put up a strong front so take good care of her and take some time for yourself too. This too shall pass and we are here to lean on when you need us....
