Is that your bloody leg? How'd you do that? Is the bike okay? The trail looks so peaceful

peaceful? Bwahaha... the top three miles or so is pure lava. As in volcanos. That leg belongs to my pal Gabrielle who is still cursing that she didn't wear her pads.
    Cascade lava is really sharp.

You can skip the lava section if you want and then it's about 18 miles or so of what the pictures show. Me, I have to do the whole thing.

I may have some lava pics in a few days if the other rider gets them scanned in.

you can ride it from the bottom up, and then it's just forest and trees. But me being crazed like I am, just HAD to do the hard section, even if I walked a good part of it.

Dang I wish I had pics of the upper part.

Geez, I haven't cruised this site in a while and what do I find but this thread touting one of my favorite trails AND Mountain Biking mag just used this trail for the lead photo for their top 50 trails article.

So do you know the crazy couple that was riding uphill on full suspension recumbents? We saw them in May. I do some loony tune bike stuff, but I think I'll keep this one off my list.
