Ruth, I am sorry to hear about your Mom. As others have said, spend as much time as you can with her. I am sure she is a strong women, much like you. But also remember to take care of yourself too. My thoughts are with you.

(((Ruth))) Seeing someone you love so much go through something like cancer is very hard. Hopefully, the docs' new plan of attack works. I've seen some truly spectacular rebounds, so never give up hope. I'm a totally sappy, sentimental fool. I believe in letting those you love know how you much care while you've still got them. You seem like the same type. I'm sure there's no doubt in her mind about what a wonderful daughter she's raised.
If your Mom doesn't get a good prognosis, know that I'm truly sorry. I know that you'll be there for her, hugging, laughing, crying. Get out the family photos and reminisce. Take new ones. Let her know that she will be missed but never forgotten.
Hospice has been there for our family a few times and I can't say enough good things about them. They can educate you all on what to expect and what to do when it's time. All the same, I sincerely hope you never need them.

You are in my thoughts. Love to your Mom and all of you in the family.

    Cindy
