Before the evening got going my mom asked me how I felt about her passing on her wedding ring (that she can't wear anymore...arthritis) to my 23 year old niece (and only grandchild)

I've got a similar story. I have my dad's engagement ring, which I put on a necklace.
and now, actual cycling info! (on, no( scroll down quickly!)
I went to the club ride, no else showed,so I scooted over to a shop ride. rode with them for 15 miles. then split off , did some climbing(with Santa Ana headwinds to boot), and got a metric in! without playing crash test dummy got to try some hammer goodies (yes, I'm becoming a hammer junkie) and it felt really good (aside from the uphill into 30 mph wind part!). Alas, I did not go by San Dimas, so I cannot report if strange things were afoot at the Circle K Things looked normal at the Upland one.
