Geez, should have double checked that one. It take a while to unbonk. basically you have to give you body time to ingest some food and turn in to fuel. It's a bit more techincal than that, but that's you get for nutritional advice from some one with half an MBA (I could either go to school or eat) My mom, The Home Ec/ Science teacher/ Senior Center Adm could do better.....

No kidding- unbonking. I try not to get to that point, though. I dunno that I've 'bonked' for sure, but this was the first time I've felt that "I have to keep moving or I might tip over" kind of determination, where just taking a breather and sitting down somewhere didn't even occurr to me... every ten feet even seemed like a serious effort. I came home and I was just physically shaking. Ugh. Do *Not* want to do that again...

Plain ol' nervousness will also make me bonk! I've taken to carrying Clif Bloks with me all the time just in case. They actually "unbonk" me pretty fast. (I've had blood glucose down around 40, which is not a happy place for me.)

Luuuuuuuuuv my Cran Razz Clif Bloks.

Is it possible to get to a point where all you're doing the next day is eating? Last night, DGF looked on in abject horror as I inhaled half a pizza in front of her... then got home and started rifling through the cabinets because I was still hungry. :P I'm still feeling that way today. I think I'm going to hunt down more food...

    Dinner....

I set up my crock pot before work today to make beef, potato, and garlic stew. (in my world, garlic is a vegetable)

The smell when I walked in the door was marvellous!

The beef is falling apart, the broth is yummy. I'll eat some stew in a couple hours, when I'm REALLY hungry. Until then it can cook with the spices and extra garlic I added.

I hardly ever eat red meat (SKnot doesn't like it) but I was craving it when our weather changed. Windy chilly rainy fall!

I too made beef stew in my crockpot. Mine is more vegetables than beef.

Bra #2 (well actually the 4th, but I returned the first two) arrived from TE and is a winner! This one is CW-X Sport, which does not make me almost dislocate my shoulder like the support version did. Thanks Knot for your old bra. I compared the two and amazingly your old bra was not as stretched out as I thought it would be. It is great to know this one will last for a long time.

    Now I am fully supported.

I have been feeling sorry for myself, which is why I have been unusally quiet. Oh chocolate will help.

I hope everyone is having a nice evening.

One long day of exercise never increases my appetite or metabolism, but a week or two sure does. It can take the body a little while to up the metabolism to match the activity, but when it does, watch out! Then you spend the whole day thinking about food, eat a whole meal and want another one in 2 hours, and wake up in the night thinking about food. You feel like an obsessed maniac. After a 2 week hike, I've made people scared. One friend was going to meet me after a hike, and seriously considered just opening the car window and throwing out the food.

    Foooooood!

My beef stew is really really good! I'm snarfing it! Just the right amount of cayenne and paprika and rosemary and bayleaf. I might've thrown something else in there, too, but I don't remember it at the moment.

Might have to snarf another bowl.

thank goodness the only witness to my utter lack of table manners (temporary condition, mind you) is the dog. And he has similar manners all the time, so no judgement from him.

His dinner was kibble, and I think he feels hard done by. He's lying at my feet, and only deigns to look at me when I make a really loud slurrurup noise.

Ok, Deb, I'm hearin' ya. I'm so hungry I'm pacing, trying to think of something really big and dense and cheap that I can get from the snack machines to fill me up. DGF has learned not to answer the question "Are you going to eat that?"

Mmmmm beef stew... *drooool* Makes me remember Mom's with venison cooked until it just fell off the bone, lots of potatoes and carrots... *drool*
