    I agree with Dianyla.
To me it seems too much like last month's guy who at first allowed us to believe he was a young woman, then wound up admitting he was a young male. He claimed to be sincere, wanting only to "promote understanding" concerning women's biking issues and relate his stories, wanting us to enlighten him about "certain things" he had seen or heard related to women biking. He then posted exclusively about male/female ego issues, personal hygiene, and bodily functions.
Joining up with no profile info at all, resisting introducing oneself, and a sudden initial burst of posts, this time concerning triumphing over men with huge egos, ripping shorts, and soiled shorts.
Sorry, but the writing style, content, and MO seem all too familiar to me. If not the very same person, then it's someone with many similarities.

And yes I LOVE that this OUR place, a place where we biking women can be friendly, welcoming, mutually supportive, and can feel safe.

    Angry

What is happening to this forum? When did paranoia and suspicions rule the day? It's beginning to sound like the "other" forum I'm on -- where essentially newbies are treated like cr@p, for the simple reason they are newbies and ask strange/stupid/repetitious questions.

I will repeat, this is not the same person. As for a fetish..well with the number of times the Diva Cup thread gets revived around here one could draw strange conclusions about that too.

If you don't like reading Cali's posts, don't. But leave her alone.

Thank you! I remember reading the writing guide from this author awhile back but couldn't find it again. It must have been over yonder.

thanks for the info - I've never heard of this "troll" thing. I guess, until using this forum, my internet usage was primarily restricted to shopping and maps - i was a forum virgin before TE...hee hee.
I am learning so much - a couple weeks ago I learned why I had gotten scammed on paypal. You ladies are soooo smart, and beautiful, and perfect.

Thank you for the voice of reason Snap. This thread was disturbing to me for the reasons you give.

thanks snapdragen, and thanks everyone who were in support.

yeah i wasn't used to such an "unwelcoming" just for being a newbie. someone mentioned about me having an outburst of posts, so i'm guessing there's some rule for new people to not post "too much" and just listen? i've only made 2 threads up till now and a little over a dozen posts in the last 3 days or so. i don't think that's a lot but hey i guess a person's opinion of what's "a lot of posts" is all relative. maybe i might come off "too strong" but that's just my personality. i've been like that since i was a kid. but no one here has seen me insult anyone because that is not who i am. but i have been insulted by a few and accused of some kind of troll conspiracy paranoia. reminds me of bush and his administration after 9/11 accussing and arresting numerous people with their terrorist paranoia. or the "red scare" of the 1930's. same thing just on a smaller scale.

yeah it was "disturbing" to me also, mainly because of these claims of "fetishes." it makes you wonder where some of these people's minds are really at when they keep bringing up their "fetishes" out of the blue and unprovoked. i have never said one thing about any fetish yet a small handfull of people have and wrote paragraph after paragraph about it. sounds like a bit of projection to me. makes you wonder who the real weirdos are with the weird fetishes.

that is what they said... that is what they told me. my guess is that it was all smoke and mirrors... they may have "never lost a race" but how many races did they actually race? and against whom? they had a false sense of confidence and i'm guessing they've only been cycling for less than a year... if that

well i'm not that cynical about it. my bf to me is clean, i'm just thinking he would wear my sweaty shorts the same way you'd only eat off someone else's plate because you loved them. i know men that are extremely metrosexual and are super clean. and i've known some women that were utter dirtbags (trust me i've stayed in dorms and had roomates). to me it depends on the person.
