I have been trying to figure out how to put this. That is just gross. I could not think of another way to phrase it. As long as neither of you minds no harm, no foul.

OK, after reading your slew of posts today, I have to say it's really obvious you are the same guy from last month who got thrown off after starting the lame peeing thread.

*sigh* it's amazing what people accuse you of these days.

perhaps people here don't like personal accounts but i'm just sharing with the board things that occur that revolve around biking and interest me. i'm a very outspoken person and i'm sorry if that offends people. i know i have not attacked anyone here but i do speak my mind as objectively as possible and simply report on things i see and would just like to share these experiences with others.

Imagine, what are the odds that a couple could exist where both the woman and the man are seriously into long-distance cycling and they wear the same size shorts and they are so anatomically similar that they'd be equally comfortable borrowing eachothers bikes for multi-hour long distance rides?

I find this statistical improbability about twice as ridiculous as the thought of some imposter with a cycling garments/shorts fetish thinking that we're really that stupid.

And seriously, who hangs their shorts on the hatrack?

    Have a lovely day.

i guess i haven't been paying attention. how can you all tell when someone is a "troll"? considering the stuff that I've opened up to you guys about - this thread seemed mild. I definitely can't see my bf wearing any of my shorts (way too small) but I've worn a (clean) pair of his - that he said were too tight on him. the waistband could be pulled up to my chin practically, but it's hard to find "baggy" lycra.

I am not passing any judgement on this poster as to whether or not they are serious or trolling.

"Trolls" - named for both the ugly hairy guys that hang out under bridges and for those who troll (like the fishing term of dragging a line behind a slowly moving boat) forums to see if they can hook a sucker.

Generally they go around posting inflamatory things just to see how bad (good) the reactions that they can get are. Often they have a specific subject they like to troll about - "CF s*cks, Ti is the only good material" or "Lance Armstrong is the greatest of all times" or conversely "Lance Armstrong is the biggest Doper of all times". This kind of stuff is very elementary trolling, but can get people going good on some boards. Its not that the subjects are personal or intimate, its more that they inspire a strong reaction from the audience. Trolls like to make people argue.

hmmmm. interesting. I think I am just too simple of a person. I have way too much respect for my time to just go around trying to egg people on (is egg the right word there? it sounded right in my head). anyway - I am often considered naive b/c I generally think that people are being genuine and honest, when they are not. It's hard to not become cynical in this day and age, huh?

It makes me sad to realize that people can be so decrepid. Like poor Suzie's bike being stolen (this world is full of bad stuff - makes you appreciate when you find the good stuff, right?)

Cali - I am not sure how to even tell you how you could prove yourself to this group (any many here do not need you to prove anything) - but if it were me, and I knew I wasn't trying to do anything dis-honest, I would want to justify myself. I believe you have that right.

I don't think Cali Sunshine is a garden variety internet troll trying to bait us into arguing (although, if that is the goal then s/he has actually been successful ).

However, I am getting very strong vibes suggesting a cycling garments fetish. This very thread we're on now is soliciting stories about folks wearing someone else's dirty shorts, another post is asking about ripped up shorts/tights. And in the questionably sexist We Beat The Guys thread s/he waxes eloquent on the variety of fancy things that all these poser guys were wearing.

That's what creeps me out. Maybe these are all just innocent coincidences, but I've seen too many fetishists on other online forums to ignore my gut instincts on this.
