Perhaps people are still amazed vegemite's been banned in the US? That's the most hilarious thing i've heard all year....hahahahahahha...

    I can see a revolt by aussie/kiwis/brits n saffies in the US/Canada..

The only other revolt I could see happenin would be if Hockey Night in Canada was cancelled in Canada....

pssst-the package for my ss;s been delivered...

    Um... yeah. Knot?
Food is not a replacement for getting l@id.

    Well, maybe a ... *** I can't even say it. Hush!

Antsy about my interview. Cute manager is letting me leave an hour early after speaking with me on an issue. Told me he'd take a night specially to get me certified on our CPR/AED/First Aid training for adults and children before I left, and he'd make sure it happened even if I gave my 2 wks. He also wished me good luck on my interview, asking where it's at. How cool!
    Little crush there...
They (he and the officer on deck) radioed me when I was all the way across our property and asked me to come back to Dispatch. Because I've been running fairly regularly, I managed to make it both without stopping and without looking like I was going to die. Score! They were both kind of impressed. I said "You didn't say what about, but I *said* I'd be here quick as I can...
startling discovery: my Danner GTX Strikers are about as comfortable as (and way more supportive than) my running shoes. Nanci- isn't your BF a cop? He might really benefit from the Danners...

An hour early means I get to see DGF tonight, and maybe watch a little bit of the movie she rented (I think it's "Journeys?" some foreign film) she says it was excellent and made her cry, so I have to see it. !!! And I've missed her lots over the past couple of days, so it'll be good to get home earlier

This country is weird. I mean it. My country, the US, is just flat out weird. I cannot believe they banned vegemite. Did the space ship drop me off on the wrong planet, maybe?

Is there NO-ONE awake at this hour?

Geez, what is an insomniac to do?

I know, I could go to every single thread on TE and reply to it! I could dominate the board! Then all would awaken to my era of supremacy!!!

    Moooo-heheheh.....

I was quiet because I was weighing all the pets on the new scale and entering their data into the new herp software. Got everyone except Maizey (digesting) and Fagalo (sleeping outside). Addy is blue- she is so funny! I was looking for her to take her out, and stuck my fingers under the fake hollow rock she seems to have picked as a home, (it's over the heating mat) and there's this ominous hissing, that goes on and on and on. If one didn't know- no one would mess with her! As soon as I got her out I saw her blue eye covers, and weighed her without even getting her uncoiled, and put her back under her rock.

It's 37F here. Brrr! I'm making white chicken chilli tonight!

    Nanci

Salsa, I read that during the pigeon experiment where they were distinguishing between photos of humans and not humans, they would all pick a photo of trees as human. Finally someone noticed that there was a tiny hand in a corner of the photo...

I was tossing and turning at that hour. Should have gotten up and kept you company. But why has a whole night gone by without any pictures of Flossie's lugs? Because you were feeling lentils?

    hello

I'm here to keep you insomiacs company....It's 734pm and i'm available for babbling!!!

Good news from Western Australia...FINALLY!!! Someone's decided they're going to adopt Daylight Savings...What a novel idea...The negativity is amazing...I do live in a backward state. No shopping on sundays & no daylight savings...

    Salsa-

Reminds me of the Futurama episode where neibler takes the one eyed chick to his planet...

They banned vegemite because it contains folate...

Btw..has anyone ever been in or travelled toFlorida for a shuttle launch?? It's one of ian's 2 things he's always wanted to do..(third one complete) I went to the NASA site & there's a launch in Oct 07..

    Space Shuttle

What you need to know about the shuttle is it is extremely weather dependent. Not to mention they always find little problems at the last minute. So a launch date is VERY likely to be rescheduled, to the next day or two if you are lucky, or further out if not. That's how I got to see it launch during a 200k- it got delayed by weather till the day I rode. It was awesome.

The whole Space Center is very cool.

    indy

Hmmm..Nanci...You are right...(I'd love to the Space Centre though!!!) Oh hey i could visit you whilst there...

Perhaps I should go for the other activity on his list..the indy 500....Is Indianapolis (i think i spelt that correctly) a city worth visiting?
My brain is fuzzy and I'm stuck on my geography...I will now leave you to remember where Indiana is...oh and to find how far annie's son has to go...

Knotted-are you sure those lentils weren't illicit?

Annie-how far a drive is it from your house to Tennesee? You're not a bad mama!!!

Because I was dead tired from work and feeling incredibly lazy. I already have some lug pictures somewhere from when I was putting together my avatar. unless I trashed 'em.

    Mainly I'm just lazy.

Oldest son is moving to TN. in two days. He's always been a ~challenging~ child. I will miss him immensely yet, in many ways, am happy to see him go. He has lived away before then came back home. He's 28! Time to let go. Am I a "bad" mom for being glad he's moving on?

    annie
Annie, if your son is 28 there's nothing wrong with you if you are relieved that you don't have to take care of him anymore. I have a 27 year old at home.
he's a slob. I love him very much, he is sweeter than his brother and his father. He's better with my wild kittens, and he talks to the cats just like i do. I will still be relieved when he moves out on his own.!

My folks live in Florida and I've been lucky enough to be visiting for three Shuttle launches, the one I saw from the beach was absolutely breathtaking.
