TexasCyclist-Sorry the ride wasn't up to your expectations, but I'm glad you enjoyed the route. I've done charity and club events in several different states and they are all a little different. Usually you can purchase a t-shirt, even after the fact. I did last year for a Christmas present, there is contact info on the website. The registration costs go to offset the expenses involved with putting on the rides, but total income from registration usually doesn't come close to covering it. Constructive criticism is always appreciated, but keep in mind that this is a club event and 100% volunteer run. Those volunteers put their heart and sole into organizing the ride so that all of the participants have a good time it can be very discouraging to hear someone didn't enjoy it.
Cindy-that song will be rolliin' thru my brain when I'm out riding hills tomorrow morning. At least I can laugh while I suffer! Can't wait to ride with you!
"The bicycle is just as good company as most husbands and, when it gets old and shabby, a woman can dispose of it and get a new one without shocking the entire community." -- Ann Strong, Minneapolis Tribune, 1895
