I was just there a few weeks ago - I lost my 14 y.o. German Shepherd to a neurological spine disorder. I'd been watching it come on, but it's still hard when the decision is made.
Somebody on this board said, "You took on her pain so she would not have any pain." So true.
Love and hugs to you. Take extra good care of yourself right now.

DivingBiker, hugs to you..I don't want to imagine the day when we have to put our little boy down. If I was talented I could figure out how to download a picture, he looks like Annie's boy she took in., with the exception of his ears, which are a extremely small for a cat. Which Annie, by the way, did you name him yet?
Sausha is the lighter one and Timberwolf is the black and cream one. My lovely Sausha i no longer with me, but she is still my puppy!
Divingbiker,
I'm so sad for your loss. I can only imagine what it must be like. I haven't had to face that yet with my pooch, but will someday. Even though it's sooo difficult, I'm so glad we can help our animals to not suffer any longer. Cassie's in a better place. May you find peace from your grieving.

Divingbiker-So sorry to hear about the loss of your pet. Anyone who doesn't thing that losing a pet is like losing a family member has probably never had a pet. My deepest sympathies to you.
