If I kept trying to feed her every night till she felt like eating, she could become conditioned to feeding refusal.

    Jennifer's Plea

Prayers, positive thoughts, positive energy, well wishes, etc.,. are needed for tomorrow (Wednesday). Okay, starting now would work as well, I am nervous.

I go to hospital tomorrow for a round of tests. The first one begins at 9:30. Each of the three test should take about 1 hour each. I am going in sleep deprived (I cannot go to bed before midnight and must be up by 5am) and un-caffeinated (NO caffeine for 24 hours). Now the sleep deprivation I can live with, but NO caffeine is just plain cruel and inhumane.

Be fortunate none of you need talk with me tomorrow am.

Oh, they called this afternoon and did reassure me that should I have an induced seizure, proper medical personnel will be present-comforting, huh?

I almost forgot to request well wishes for my poor family who must endure me tomorrow morning, and for me. Thanks!!

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, BMO3. I hope things go smoothly, and the doctors provide some definitive answers.

On a different medical note, my doctor informed me at my annual exam in September that it was time for my first colonoscopy (the joy of turning 50). And a couple days later my health plan actually called to schedule it, and left a message on my home answering machine. Of course I put off calling back. Today, 6 weeks later, they called again and got me at work. So I couldn't procrastinate or weasel out of it. Just thought it was interesting the way they track down their patients. I suppose no one volunteers for that test. I've put off mammograms for 2 years at a time and they never called me (I did do it this year).

Has anyone heard from Beta? How is she surviving her 6 week bike exile? Maybe she found it easier to stay away from TE while she had to stay away from the bike?

i haven't heard or seen beta in a while.... hope she's ok.

Funny your doctor stalked you down. Wish my Dad's would have done this, he would have avoid chemo for colon cancer.

Thanks to Dear Ol' Dad I get the colonoscopy at 40. My DH had one last week to diagnose Crohn's disease. His doctor endearingly referred to it as his meeting with "the long black snake". Bleck!

DH said the prep was bad, but the hunger from it was worse. He is ravenous from being on prednisone and liquid diet isn't great. I think he was glad to have the drink because when you can't get out of the bathroom you aren't hungry. Get some aloe wipes. My mom and my DH are tough, they said the prep wasn't as bad as you imagine. My Dad said it was awful. Good luck!

BMo3- Good luck today. I had the same prep for an EEG, but I got to sleep through the test. It was preferred that I sleep and I had no objections!

I can't keep up with the drift! Ya'll have a wonderful day.
