I was wondering about daily rides too....

    Wow...130km in 5 hours...that's something like 26km/h average. Nice!!

I did a lowly 40km group trail ride out to a small town called Sooke. Nice rainforest ride....but pretty cold...only 12C (about 54F) when it's been near 20C (68F) lately. Oh well, we were dressed warmly, the company was great, and the changing leaves were spectacular. Long 10km uphill grade on loose gravel back home, but at least we had a tailwind
I guess as we get closer to winter in the northern hemisphere, we will see fewer daily ride reports? You southern hemisphere ladies will have to take over!

LOL! I had the same problem, Knotted. I was going to do a supported metric on the 14th, but the forecast was for rain, so I did Friday evening happy hour instead. Four glasses of wine caused me so much pain yesterday morning that I didn't ride at all. At least it DID rain, so I didn't feel too bad.
Got a shorter ride in this morning to try to make amends.

    Riding with a new team...

I spent my Saturday doing a 30 mile ride with what I hope will be my new racing team for the '07 year. It was pretty chilly in the morning, but once we got going, it was a nice leisurely ride out through the 'burbs of Philly. to be honest, most of the time I had NO idea where we were, but it was a really beautiful loop.

In all reality, I should probably not have been on my bike as I was diagnosed on Friday with mono! I haven't been kissing anybody other than the DH, so I'm not sure how I ended up with this!! I was pretty tired last night, but took the day off today, so I'm hoping that this doesn't knock me completely on my butt. I didn't even know that I was sick other than a swollen gland in my neck! So far, I haven't felt the effects of it really, but I'm not going to take too many chances.
