    Thanks for posting Katie's story, and for being there with her. I'm sure that seeing your face provided comfort through her pain.

    Healing wishes are coming your way... remember, your bike and the pool will both still be there when your arm is healed.

    One idea though, from another person who has a very hard time not exercising - walking can be good too. Not running, no jarring motion for your arm, just walking. That's what I did as I recovered from my own crash back in 2004. I went from riding 5 to 6 days a week to not being allowed on my bike at all for five weeks. The first several weeks I wasn't capable of even walking, but then I eased into walking. My walking time grew each day. It kept me sane, and it helped to maintain some level of fitness - much better than not doing anything. So - first give yourself a chance to rest, then ease back to an active lifestye as your body permits.
