I can't really picture what you're talking about - and previously, if I had a lump from a bruise - I would know it was from a bruise (you have to hit pretty hard to do that).
Doesn't sound like a strain to me, maybe swollen lymphnodes or something?
Can you describe it better? size, location, etc....or take a picture if it's noticeable enough.

I have had one funny hard lump on the upper part of my right thigh for a year or so(on quadricep). I've never had it looked at although sometimes it looks as if it has a bruised color to it. I always figured it was a knot, but it has never gone away. If you find anything out about your lumps, please post.
