I have those (in both the mountain and road versions) and they run small. I am a 9, 9.5, and I usually wear a 39 or 40, but in those I need a 41.

Does anyone here have Pearl Izumi shoes? I am specifically looking at this pair:

Cycling shoe sizing is sooooo all over the map. My current Cannondale mtb shoes are 38s, my two pairs of road shoes (Lake and Sidi) are 39s (the Sidis are on the small side for me, the Lakes on the larger side), but according to the size chart for these PI shoes, I would take a 37! A little scary to think of ordering something that small.
In street shoes, I wear from a 6.5 to 7 (B width) in most shoes and 7.5 running shoes to avoid black toenail - not an issue with cycling shoes.
I'd love to hear from anyone with PI shoes re. what size you got and how it relates to your street shoe size.
Thanks!

I've finally had some to catch up on threads - just found this. I have these shoes and I love them! The provide nice airflow over your feet. I wear a size 8/8.5 in normal shoes and an 8.5 (40) in running shoes. I wear a size 39 in the PI Vagabonds. The guy at the LBS told me these shoes tend to run a little big (not so fast, though). SK/withm - resist the urge... That seem's to be the case for me.

Hmmmm...thanks for the replies, but now I have one saying they run small and one saying they run large, and a couple saying they run slowly!![]()
I think if I do decide to get them, I will probably order from REI rather than TE, because I can have them delivered to my local store for free and return them for another size if they don't fit also for free.
Since I just bought a new wheelset and a bike workstand today, though, I think the shoes will have to wait a little while. I do hope to try them someday!

If it helps, I'm size 8 and the 39 fits me fine, I tried them at REI.
Saw that the PI Vagabond M3s were on sale for $30 off at nashbar.com (only selected sizes available). I checked the sizing chart on the PI site, and they said a size 7 US was a size 38 EURO, so that's what I got. I believe the TE chart put me in a 37, which didn't sound right as all my other Euro-sized shoes are 38 or 39, depending on brand. I definitely don't need an 8, so those of you who posted that a size 8=39 on this thread helped in that decision too.
These will look so pretty with my Titus Racer X! I am also going to try Speedplay Frog pedals that my husband used to use. I have been using Eggbeaters on my mountain bikes, but I have a heck of a time clipping in on the second leg about 50% of the time (the other 50% it just goes right in with a resounding click, and I wonder why I can't do that every time!)
It will be a fun experiment regardless....and new shoes are always fun!![]()
