    WOW!!!!

    Great job Lise!

Yea, I tell you what, when I encourage someone else, it makes me work harder... sounds like that worked great for your friend.

OH! And doesn't it make you feel *good* to know that you keep up with and even keep going longer... than someonen 21 years younger than you? Cool!

Lise - Congratulations!! I saw the signs indicating LSD would be closed, but didn't realize it was for the half-marathon. Sounds like you did really well... Kudos to you!

Congratulations for a job well done.

I bet your Dad was there smiling the whole time, feeling very proud.

Oh, boy, am I sore. And happy.

KN--The Gu washed right out. I used Penguin Sport Wash, and both the streak and dot of Gu have entirely disappeared. I was kind of worried about that.

Mimi--yeah, how about that with Jamie and girl #3? In her "inability" to run, that girl was our run angel. BTW, she sprinted ahead of both of us at the end! Jamie did apologize to me later. I was certainly glad I didn't just ditch her to take 5 min off my time.

And yellow....I'm glad you're running a little bit! Sounds like you're feeling that hopefulness that comes after the post-big-event let down.

Quillfred--I thought a lot about my Dad during the race, and of how proud he'd be of me. Thanks.

    To bed!

Congratulations, Lise! That crowd must have been awesome. We had about 600 in our half marathon a week ago and there were probably a few hundred spectators along the course here and there but every cheer and word of encouragement helps a LOT. Plus the runners were cheering each other on. The course was out and back and the guy in fourth place was saying, "good job - you guys are doing great" as he passed my group while he was returning and we were going out. You can't help but be encouraged when you hear that from someone out front. It helps no matter who says it.

Great report, Lise! I am so proud of you.

That mini daschund - and the crowds - must have been inspiring! I agree with Yellow - that is an inspiring thought - races v. training.

How amazing is it to have people that are brave enough to tell us of their goals, and then share their experience so that we can be inspired by their journey.

Congratulations Liz. Thanks for sharing your journey.
