    Gnar-

AAAAAHHH! Another DiscWorlder!!!!! I'm not alone!!!!!!

I saw him when he came to Seattle. He signed my first edition "Equal Rites" and signed under his picture (on the wall behind Vimes) in "Where's My Cow?" for SKnot. And he chatted with SKnot about computers.

    My car is Imp.

Sorry for the thread drift, everyone. I just can't control myself.

yup - tempted to name the car D!ck Turpin - because wherever i go i'm holding up traffic (shamelessly plundered from Pratchett/Gaiman's Good Omens)

I love the italian sky name though it's very pretty. My bike is most definetely not a girl bike however and would never suit such a pretty name...

How about Cielo Lindo (beautiful sky) or Cielo Alto (high Heaven) or Cielo Azul (blue Heaven)

    (these are all Spanish)

I totally agree that I need to have my hands on her before the name will come to me. I must say tho, that the "SKY" name has stayed with me so I've done some digging.

(Sidebar: did I mention I have the coolest hubby EVER????)

YEA STEPH! When are we gonna see some pictures???

If you need some Italian suggestions, I can help a little. Bel Cielo would be nice, which means beautiful sky/heaven.

iPods and computers have to have a name so you can recognise them on the network...

My iBook is Sirius and my iPod (before its unfortunate theft) was Koorogi. The little cricket that brought me beautiful music.

The neon is Neo (because a fast car was somethign new to me) and the rat is Gebo, after the rune X which means 'gift' but can also mean 'kiss' as in the 'x' in XOXO... you can't give a kiss without receiving one, too, as is the sort of meaning behind the 'gift' part of 'Gebo'

The italian word for Sky is very pretty. I really like Bel Cielo.

KIT - Gebo is a very cool name. I'm gonna store that on my list of names for future useage.

I also like Bel Cielo. I was leaning towards Cielo Su Terra - which is heaven on earth in Italian.

I'm still undecided but my baby comes home tomorrow!!! YEH!!! So..... time will tell.
