Thumbs down Steep & Cheap- zoic jersey

I got mine today, 2 of them I am so disappointed. I don't like the way they fit. Too long and column like. too snug over my ribs and the pockets are down to my rump. I'll be sending them back. This is the 2nd order I've sent back to them, out of 2.

Uh-oh. I sent my first order back, too. I ordered a couple of things yesterday for my husband's birthday. I hope I have better luck than you did.

Yep, uh-oh. I ordered one of these jerseys (have not received it yet - very slow compared to my previous S&C orders). I'd ordered a couple of things from them before and been happy with them. I'll post a followup once my jersey arrives. We're all built differently, but right now I'm not overly optimistic. Thanks for the update.

    Thumbs up Got mine yesterday

Oh no! Sorry you didn't like yours.

I received my zoic jersey from steepandcheap yesterday and so far it's great. I have a long torso and short legs, though, so I often have trouble finding regular shirts that come down far enough. The length of the jersey is fine for me.

Are y'all talking about the Zoic men's jersey that was on sale? I bought a red one for my husband. It just came today. Is it running "thin?" Or was there also a women's?

The women's were listed last week. Those are the ones we're talking about.

    Thumbs down S&C no more!

    Okay, I am pissed.

I ordered the Zoic women's jersey on Sept. 20th. I finally realized it had been way too long, so I checked the UPS tracking tonight. It was delivered to someone in a different city!! It gets worse. The shipping address I entered at the site was my PO box. I have had two previous orders with Steep and Cheap, and they have always delivered via USPS to the post office. This time, they sent it UPS. Duh....apparently their shipping department didn't realize that UPS can't ship to a PO box. You'd think that would be the first thing they'd learn! So, UPS, according to the tracking detail, attempted to correct the address, and ended up sending it to Cary, NC, where I lived six years ago. It now has a status of "delivered".

I have emailed S&C and hope that they will do the right thing and credit my Visa for this, as my chances of ever seeing this jersey are slim to none - I don't plan to go knock on the door of my old house to see if it turned up there! We shall see, but right now I am not planning on placing any more orders with them, no matter how good a deal. Shame....

If they don't credit my card, I'll have to refuse payment and write my credit card company to dispute the charges. Whatta pain.

Oh, Emily, what a pain. I am having a similar issue with Gear Link -- they sent my new stem to the wrong address, and it was their fault, not mine, because my receipt shows that it was entered correctly. All they will do is refund the shipping, which is not acceptable seeing that I never got the stem. I am going to have to go through my credit card because now customer service won't even respond to my e-mails.

I am also worried that I need to cancel my credit card, because they won't respond to my query as to whether they put the card number on any of the package enclosures. Someone at a different address could have both my stem AND my credit card number. Not cool.

Aw, shoot, I never even thought of that. I don't think I have any of my older SAC invoices that I can check to verify that in my case. I don't think they will put anything except the last four digits on an invoice, though, just in case.

Sorry you're having to go through this too! My address is fine in the SAC site, so I surely hope they'll do the right thing. If their form allows you to enter a PO box, they should ship to one. Normally companies that use UPS only don't even allow a PO box to be entered in their forms. And they've shipped USPS before, which is what gets me about this.

I'll remember not to order from Gear Link too. Companies with poor customer service don't need our business!

    I'll post a follow-up when I hear from SAC.

I think you are probably okay with SAC, because I ordered two of those TimBuk2 backpacks from them and I did check the receipt for my card number before I threw it away. (We live in an area where we have to assume people are going to dig through our trash, so that's a pretty ingrained habit. I don't remember if they included a partial CC number or left it off entirely, but the entire number was definitely not on there.

    Thanks xeney!

I checked a few mail order invoices from various places (including one from TE!) just now (had no SAC ones around), and none had the full CC number on them. Relief!

BTW, do you have a Boston Terrier? Your avatar is darling. We have a 14.5 year old female, Pepper, who has been with us since she was 12 weeks old. She's our baby, but aging fast now, unfortunately.

No, Crash is a Canaan dog! They are a little bit like an Australian cattle dog, but they are a recently re-domesticated line of the pariah dogs from Israel. He was actually a stray, but we had a breeder come out and look at him, and she verified that he was a Canaan dog (and probably one of hers). We never found his owner so he just stayed. He is a fantastic dog, so much smarter than our two mutts that he is a little scary to live with.

I am a big fan of Boston terriers, though, and if I ever lived in a place where I couldn't have a big dog, they would be my first choice.

I'm sorry for those of you who don't like (or didn't get) your jerseys! I ordered a black one and I love it. I've never worn Zoic before and this was a great price to try the brand.

No response from SAC customer service yet - perhaps they only work M-F? I will not get worried until I don't hear on Monday, but I am not feeling too warm and fuzzy yet.

I want my jersey! Or my money back!

    Emily

P.S. xeney, sorry about mistaking your dog for a Boston! The coloring is exactly the same, but I do know what Canaan dogs are. Very cool!

For the record, I ordered the men's Zoic for my husband, and a Canari from Sierra Trading Post. The Zoic is a much closer fit than the Canari. He doesn't like it fitting that tight and so I'm sending it back to Steep and Cheap. Maybe Zoics in general are just more fitted or maybe run small.
