    One of the problems with elevation IMHO is the datapoints. With the mapping programs they all use, the elevation from point A to point B is extrapolated linearly. Try adding more points and you'll get a more accurate elevation profile. But, I don't know that you'll ever be able to add enough points to get an accurate profile.

    But, I'd have to add a datapoint about every .001 of a mile on the routes I've been mapping and then I'd blow up the system.
