They don't get cancelled here, or we'd never have triathlons!!

Hi ladies!!!
I'm doing the Iron Girl Duathlon in Bloomington, MN on Sunday. It is suppose to rain all weekend. I'm traveling about 6 hours to the event (leaving tonight) so I'd hate to drive all that way, register, then not be able to race.
Do tri/duathlons get cancelled if it is raining or is it a rain or shine rule? If not, do most folks drop out or do they ride in the rain? I'm bringing my Bianchi Cross Trainer incase it rains and figured I could use that in place of my road bike, I actually LOVE riding in the rain on my cross trainer.![]()

The only time they delay is for lightning, but other than that- the race goes on rain or shine around here! You'll have a great time regardless of the weather!!! I'm looking forward to hearing all about it! Good idea to bring both bikes-that way you'll be prepared no matter what. Have fun, and good luck!!!!![]()

Cervelo P2C (tri bike)
Bianchi Eros (commuter/touring road bike)
1983 Motobecane mixte (commuter/errand bike)
Cannondale F5 mountain bike
Have a great time, Roshelle! Excellent idea about the two bikes. I feel the same way about riding my Larkspur in the rain--much safer than my Bianchi Veloche. Looking forward to the report! Lise
