I still have a hard time understanding Scottish accents. Except for those few words that are similar to Norwegian, like "bairn" and "kirk" and a few others.

Ach dinna worry aboot it. Strangely my home town is Falkirk and the inhabitants are known as 'Bairns', so ye've got a heid start.

You'll all be glad to know it's 9pm here so talking Scottish day will soon be over. But don't worry - I've made a note of who has and hasn't taken part.

I thought Haggis was mostly oats, with meat stuff etc... and the 'casing' isn't any groser than what brats etc are cased in... Wi' neeps an' tatties!

Bairn does mean child Lise. No-one really knows why Falkirk folk are called bairns. People from Paisley are called 'buddies'.
