I also cheat when filling air. I have friends who still can't fill a tire using their whole body weight but they love watching me try.
Anyhow, I did want to comment on the question of how full to fill the tire. It's fine to have the pressure at the low end of the recommended spectrum. What I've learned- both from experience and from a racer bud of mine- is that you can actually over fill the pressure by about 5 psi, not that I'd recommend doing this all the time, but if you've got a race or a route that's smooth and you want to go fast, you can get away with it. Tire pressure makes a HUGE difference in the quality of the ride for me, so I try to always keep the tires at their max- 115.
