She is a Raleigh Romana built sometime between 1989 and 1992. She would have cost approximately £160 ($305) new.
Raleigh only used the mixte frame on two models - the Romana and the Impulse. Both were sports bikes.
I got the info from a chap on the Raleigh forum. There's no facility on there to put pics so I e-mailed him the pics and he came back with that info.

I'd be interested in knowing the two wheel/tire sizes. I think I recall you saying they are the original tires?...
Are they 2 diff. sizes? Should be marked on the tires...

You might get more info on the model/etc if you look up the BIN number... just a thought. =D I love finding 'mystery' objects and learning as much as I can about them!!!
