What would you name your bike?

I know this sounds crazy-but my bike has a name. One of my colleagues christened it on a rainy day I commuted into work. She said: "You rode to work in the rain? You are a Wild Betty"-the name stuck, and my bike has been called "Wild Betty" ever since.
If your bike doesn't have a name-what names do you think you would name your bike?

My bike would have to be 'jackal'. I bought it about 4 years ago while going through a divorce and did alot of trail riding, splashing in as many mud puddles as I could find. My friends started calling me jackal because we were in the woods and there was alot of teasing about jackals being around too. That summer of biking made such an impression on me that I have a hand drawn picture of a jackal riding a mountain bike while splashing in the mud tattoed on my left shoulder. It's cool.

My bike does not yet have a name. I have had it almost a year and nothing has come yet. My kayaks do however, one is Ladybird the other is Hagrid. Happy riding!

My bike definitely has a name--sunshine! My beauty is of course bright, and I mean really bright, yellow in color. Plus it makes me smile everytime I'm on it--well, at least until mile 30 or so

My bike's name is Ichiro. Just like the baseball player. 'Ichiro' means something along the lines of 'the best' or 'number one' in Japanese. My co-workers named it after they asked me who I loved more, my bike or my boyfriend. Well, duh!

Wink what would you call your bike

My road racing bike is called Ruby, because she - of course! is a beautiful red colour. There don't seem to be a lot of red bikes around in my part of the world!

    Talking

My mountain bike is "Miss Bike", She's a ball burnished Zaskar who wears pearls, WOMBAT, and has nice manners the way an Irish thoroughbred hunter does- elegant handling with a totally mad glint in her eye going cross country. Yes, she does have an eye, on her head tube.
My road bike is "Road Warrior Barbie"- the paint is pink and green and white interference (sparkly-ish) on a stand up racing geometry. With butterflys all over.
My BMX cruiser is "Little Horse", cause it's a pony version of a bike to scoot around campus on.

It is great to read everyone's bike names! I still have not named my mtn bike-it is a Kona Cindercone-the last year they made the frame out of steel. Any ideas?

Actually, if you listen while you ride the bike will tell you its name. Cats are the same way, but they usually have several names.

LOL, Missliz- your bikes have personality! I love the description of your Zaskar! A real lady mountain bike!

I'm still trying to get a name for my bike but I think it'll be Rose since she's a deep red.

    Cheers,
    Kristina

I think my new bike asked me to call her princess the other day. There she was, her first time getting covered with mud and riden hard, and she wants to be called princess. I'm still not sure if I'll allow it.

My bike is named Lilyaira. All my bikes since I was a kid has been named that. I don't even remember why.
