I just HAVE to play too! My boys, Frank and Barak, are on my avatar... I have 62 chickens, but no pictures of them.

The cats are: Athena (all black - a very little girl, full grown at seven pounds), Baxter Black (the Tuxedo cat - sitting in my dog's crate... he LOVES his dog!), Edgar (the sloppy, purring, affectionate tiger - he's a big boy), and Ranya (she actually has a solid black tail, but I don't think you can see it in the picture. Her specialty is yowling until I turn on the sink faucet).

I don't have a picture of my dog, Zaboo, on my computer here! But, he is a Norwegian Elkhound mix and a very good dog!

Okay, but I remind you that you asked for it. Click on any of them for a larger photo.

    Little dork:

That's Crash, he hates to camp.

    Big dork:

That's Doc, he lives for snow.

    Girl dork:

That's Mochi, she is game for anything as long as no strangers try to pet her.

Rudy, my 16-year-old indoor cat who is not supposed to be outside, but sometimes he makes his own rules.

Sally, who is 12 and evil. All of the dogs are afraid of her.

Benny died this spring but I am not quite ready to leave him out of the group photo.

That one is a little risque (put on some pants, Doc!) but it is my favorite photo ever of my husband and the dog.

    Mimi -

Nope, no chicken pictures! They are pretty, though - all different breeds and colored. Some even lay colored eggs!

Ranya is a funny girl - as I said, her tail is pitch black from the base to the tip. She has a small bit of black on one of her pads, and a tiny drop of black skin on an ear. We got her as a stray... she was bony and dirty, and we kept trying to wash off the ear spot! I thought it was a bit of oil, but it's permanant!

My vet laughs every time she sees her - thinks it looks like Ranya's tail was dipped in ink.

    Here's my little darlings
The big orange guy is Koji, we found him when he was about 6 or 7 weeks old. He was hanging around outside yowling frantically for his mom. I ended up tracking down where he slept to catch him. He was terribly afraid of people at first. He crawled into the base of our pedestal sink and wouldn't come out until I fell asleep on the bathroom floor. He came out and fell asleep with me and has considered me his mommy ever since.
The little grey girl is Shio. We just got her on Monday from the Humane Society. They seem to be getting on OK. I spent most of my day yesterday with one or both of them sitting on me being reassured that there is love enough to go around.

I'm having a great time looking at everyone's pets! Great idea for a thread

    Here are mine...

These two beauties are Gizmo (female calico) and Zorro (handsome black and white guy). They both turned 10 this past May. They are very good kitties, never bite or scratch, have always used the litter box, and love nothing more than sitting in our lap while we fawn over them. Come to think of it, I think this is their purpose in life!

This is Beamer, our female kitten. Well, kitten compared to the others. She turned 1 this past March. She looks every bit the brat she is! Her main purpose in life is to torment poor Zorro (Gizmo set down the 'pecking order' right away) and to occasionally deem herself worthy of our affection by sitting next to us. Her favorite toy? The lazer pointer!

Frankie the Pug joined our family this past April when she turned 3. She loves to meet new people and dogs(and everyone in the neighborhood loves her), and she thinks she's the 'cat police'. Every time there's a squabble she runs to investigate. We're in the process of clicker training and her new trick is 'speak' except it comes out like a whisper. After a few tries she manages a cute squeak/growl and of course gets her treat.

I used to show pugs in breed (how well they conform to the breed standard) and obedience. It's probably my favorite breed of dog.

Cool! Don't look at Frankie too close, then. She originally came from a back yard breeder...but we love her anyway. We're quickly finding out that the pug community is quite an interesting subculture!

    Ooh ooh, here are mine

The lab is Anika (her formal name is Anika the coffee bean because she looks like a coffee bean when she's all curled up). We just won the monkey at a picnic and thought it would be fun to torture Anika before giving it to Kelly to tear apart. Kelly is the multi-colored dog. (Hmm, wonder where my screen name came from?)

    Here they are...

The grey boy is Elwood. He talks constantly! Which is generally cute except when your trying to get to sleep and he is sitting on your head going, "MEOW!!!!"

The black boy is Jake. Yes, named after the Blues Brothers. Jake is a bit of a loony, unfortunately, and now has to live apart from his big brother Elwood. They take turns spending part of the day enjoying the atmosphere of the basement!!! They haven't gotten along since we introduced our little girl, Tuga. She is the CUTEST thing in the world, even though she came between the boys!

For now, they are our kids...and the DH treats them as such...

oh I LOVE this thread! All your pets are so beautiful... the bunnies, greyhounds, cats, horses... and I even think the snake is quite pretty... but glad it's not mine... too many years in OK as a kid did me in... I'm skeered of 'em!

Here are my goobers... the cat is Chamoya, my ragdoll.

The old Pug is Winston... I am hoping for another month or two with him He's had a good life tho and been with me longer than any other man... I'll do what's best for him, not what's best for me...

The young Pug is Magnus (named after Magnus Backstedt thought it sounded like a great name for a PUG! LOL)

The black one is Annabel Lee (named for the Edgar Allen Poe poem). She is queen of our house. We just got Vladimir (the Russian blue) a couple weeks ago. Annabel hates him and I think prays that he'll go away soon, but they're warming up to each other. I love those little brats!!
Annabel will be 3 in March and has much disdain for everyone, however, she does get frisky when we bring out her sparkly pom-pom balls. (She would be mortified to know that we have a video of her when she was smaller, spinning round and round after a feather-stick.) I think she was royalty in a past life.
Vlad is only 6 months old and has so much life. I've forgotten what it's like to have a kitten in the house. He has three modes, sleep, cuddle, and CRAZED. He's a lot more affectionate than Annabel. He's sort of like a frat boy. "Hey, black cat, you wanna play??" "HISS SPIT GROWL CURSE!!" "Okay, cool, maybe later." (Repeat 10 seconds later.)
Sorry, I have a tendency to go on and on about them. I'm not ready for human babies yet, so I talk about the furry ones incessantly.

Thank you!! She's a really great cat, very talkative. We think she's part Bombay, because her legs and tail are shorter that most cats and her face is more rounded.
