My sympathies. I have the opposite problem, due to major cranial acreage. All the women's helmets are too small. Ditto gloves. I shop in the men's department because of this.
Our LBS carries a pretty cool selection of kids' helmets. I'm including a link so you can take a peek and see what I mean. Have faith. They are "out there", you just have to look.

There some nice kids helmets that would fit there. Shame I'm in the UK as they're reasonably priced too - £22 or under in our money. We've got quite a few bike shops in town so I'll have a wander round tomorrow. I have no intentions of being a lounge lizard two days runnng
