    The old gal is home

Thanks for your input on this old Raleigh. I brought her home and got her cleaned up a bit. DebW is right, she was not made in the U.S. A little sticker hidden away on her says, something like "designed and enginered in America, manufactured in Tiwan." (My 2005 Bianchi was also made in Tiwan despite the Italian markings on her). The head badge says "Raleigh an American bicycle company". Still she is a classy old gal. I think my grand daughter will get $15.00 worth of use out of her. Heck, I would have been temped to pay that much just for that pretty head badge! Pictures can be seen here.

How can I post pictures directly on TE without going through a web link? Copy and paste doesn't seen to work. How do the rest of you get those beautiful pictures of your bikes on with your posts?

    Unhappy

When I click on the link to see your Raleigh, it tales me to some sign-in page and not to your photos. I'd love to see her.

Thanks for the pictures. What brand are the brakes and crankset?
Oil is good, grease is better.

Deb, I don't really know. The crank arms have 'Raleigh' stamped on them. I could find nothing on the brakes except for a nut at the center pull part of the
brakes (the part where the right and left brakes are held together at the center down by the wheels) have a nut on them that also says Raleigh.
