I met Leontien at the Gent 6 Day track competition in Belgium last year and not only is she a gutsy dame but she's very glamourous too! She always has painted nails and make up when she races - not for me, I hardly wear make up at the best of times but I think she likes to show that even though she's a professional athelete she's still a woman.

Yes - Nicole Cooke injured her knee last year and hardly raced at all this year, hence she couldn't defend her world cup jersey. But then her come-back race was the British National Championships which she promptly rompted!
