Very nice bike.
And I see only one very happy beautiful woman in those pictures who is going to leave some serious miles behind her on one slick ride.![]()

Wow, I was totally color cordinated wasn't I. LOL. I didn't even notice that, it was completely by accident.
Thanks Denise! I will follow your advice. I love me, I really do, I just don't want quite so much of me to love. LOL I always think I look terrible in pictures. For some reason, I don't think I look quite so bad in the mirror, but when I see a picture, I get all postall on myself.
Your right though, it seems like as women, we are always harder on ourselves.
Thanks everyone, I love the new bike. I think she is beautiful.
That picture is after my first ride, and I dropped the chain 3 times learning the gears, (much different than my mountain bike) and my computer wasn't working so I don't know how I did, which kind of made me mad, but nothing against the bike by any means.
I think I got the shifting figured out now so hopefully won't be losing my chain anymore. LOL
If it's not raining, planning to go on a long ride tomorrow morning.

Donna, I just re-read your first posts from July just before you started biking. You were pretty depressed, you had just quit smoking, and didn't know if you could make changes at all, and worried about being able to motivate yourself to get out on the road and bike.
It's incredible how much you have done in this short time! You look so happy and full of confidence now- not at all the same outlook as when you started. You should be so proud of yourself!
Isn't it wonderful how biking and sharing with other women can help change our lives!![]()

Donna - awesome bike
Awesome look of pride and happiness on your face
Way to go, GF
Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
"I will try again tomorrow".
Donna, great pics of you and your new bike, the joy clearly comes thru in the pictures..enjoy your time on your bike, you'll get used to her in no time..
Fantastic photos, very colour coordinated. You look so happy! Enjoy your new bike.

Loved the photos, the bike, and the color coordination. Blue is my favorite color, and that's a beautiful shade of it. Enjoy your new ride!

Well the bike is just awesome, Donna, but You! You look so thrilled! And I know you are--who wouldn't be with such a gorgeous bike and so ready to ride it? That's so cool.
I'm not generally attracted to blue bikes, but I love that blue-black fade on yours--very appealing paint job. Have fun with her!

Thanks girls, I love the bike! I loved my other bike too, I kinda felt guilty getting a new one. My Stepmother bought the old one. She has been riding around on a bike with big noby mountain tires that I don't think really fit her correctly. She is thrilled with my old one and it won't sit not being riden, so I am very happy too.
Lisa, your right, I didn't know if I would be able to keep the enthusiasm up for the biking but so far I have, and now that I have the new bike it is even better.
A lot of the interest and enthusiasm has been kept up because of being able to come back to this forum with you girls. I can find out information I need for fitting the bike, for gear, for maintenance, and any other problems, questions or the like.
I like being able to come here and have something to share with others that have the same interest.
Thanks Girls!!!! And thanks Lisa for reminding me how far I have come. I hadn't even thought about it until you mentioned it.

I get huge amounts of happy inspiration and knowledge by reading this forum. We all inspire each other, and no one is either better or less than anyone else. We all have the very same goals of personal spiritual and physical freedom and wellbeing.
What a great "mother lode" of support this forum is for us all!!

What a wonderful pic of a proud rider and a beautiful bike. I'm glad there is another bike enthusiast in the neck of the woods where I grew up. I hope you will have many wonderful adventures w/ your bike.
